gibby, you not exactly being the "champion" of business renders your thoughts on the matter pretty worthless.

Get this through your fucking head devil:I'm not bitching just about Lebron and the Cavs...

No one player in ANY sport should have that much input on how a team is run...not Lebron, not A-Rod,not Peyton Manning... NO ONE

When did A'mare change his middle name to fucking?
  • Nate
I'm sure Jordan had no say over the Bulls.

Stfu gibby. LBJ single handidly made Cleveland a championship contender. You do whatever you can and they do to keep the best player in the NBA happy especially in his contract year.

    Jordan ok'd rodman

What are the chances the Celtics got Nate in order to land another player? Remember, a couple of seasons ago Danny Ainge traded for Ray Allen in order to convince Kevin Garnett that the Celtics can be contenders. Is he pulling the same? We will see the next 24 hours.

All the big players have input in personnel, it's no friggin' secret.

gibby's just pissed as his team continues its slide into mediocrity.

Of course your superstar is going to have say in who you bring in.

Do you think Kobe didn't OK Artest especially after the publicized incidents on the court.

Why would Kupcheck(sp) risk pissing off his star by bringing in a guy whom he can't stand?

Same thing with the Cavs, that'd be like Ferry selling out for Joakim Noah without checking with Lebron.

All superstars have a say, as well as they should. Because since there is such a thing as FA, if you piss off a guy bad enough he can walk, and you can't stop him. Back in the day before FA, you could do something like that, because the only way a player walked away from your team was too be traded, or retire.

It seems like over on the RCF that everyone just assumes that the Cavs are getting Amare?? Am I missing something?

Not sure when the switch happened but it's all appearing as a done deal. The Heat are running out of time and they like the Cav's deal.

I'll believe it all when I see it though.

ugh, I hate this. I am setting myself up to be disappointed...lol
  • Nate
I don't know how many times I will refresh this thread until I will be happy. The suspense is killing me.

Yeah, I'm at work and am using as little bandwidth as possible in fear of getting noticed (even though I am the IT coordinator). I know once news breaks it will be here before ESPN.

    Nate Robinson is a Celtic.

I'm with you guys. The spot on my iPhone where I hit the refresh button ,a million times, will probably be worn out by 3pm tomorrow.

    let me understand:
    Amar'e Stoudemire

    for

    Zydrunas Ilgauskas
    JJ Hickson
    Danny Green
    1st rounder

This deal is troubling because the Cavs are essentially giving up 3 drafts for Amar'e. Not to mention how immediately thin they become at 2 positions for at least the next 30 days (C and SG).

At the same time I understand the Cavs wanting to do it. This is a keep Lebron and win at least this year deal. If they don't win the title and can't sign Amar'e, this deal is a huge fuck up for Ferry and he should be fired. He has to know this going into this trade.

I don't think it makes them thin at all. Shaq, Amar'e, and Andy can all play the 5. We have Parker, Delonte, Jamario, and Williams that could all play the 2. Boobie is essentially a 2 on the offensive end.

I agree. This isn't a good deal for us.

Is it House and a pick for Robinson?
  • se-alum
BTW, what's the latest timeline on Powe??

The cavs would be fine at the 5.

You'll have Shaq, Andy, Amare, Powe, D-Block, who could all see time at the 5. And with all of our bigs they are mostly interchangeable, so I think that wouldn't be too big of a problem. I do agree with you to some extent on the 2, however we'd still have: Boobie, Lebron, West, Moon, and Parker who could all see some time at the 2, so it may not be too bad.

Looks like the Nate Robinson to Boston for Eddie House deal is pretty much done..... Still don't like this trade I guess we'll see how this plays out for the rest of the season.
