Official NBA Trade Deadline *Moves and Rumors*

lol...I didn't even notice the Dwade trade till now. That is a comical one.
  • Lovejoy1984
I got a good chuckle out of the D-Wade one.

He may get traded, but for damn sure a better player than Hedo Turkoglu would be brought back.

The Chicago and Boston one is pretty funny... knowing Jordan Hill plays for the Knicks, not Chicago.

I am fb friends with him...lol.

He is also listed in "Cleveland's sexist singles"...must be an ugly city.
Yes he mentions it often on the air. I swear he is paid to be a tool because there is no way he would be on the air otherwise.

Not to be a dick, but I suggest looking at the right stuff. Stay away from the ESPN message board losers that didn't graduate HS.

Where did you see them? Obviously they aren't anywhere close to accurate.

I imagine that most of it is stuff that works on the trade machine. That thing is a neat thing to mess with, but people get crazy ideas from it.

He's soft, doesn't rebound, doesn't play D, and is only happy when he's repeatedly putting the ball in the bucket.

To top it off, he doesn't have a midrange game (even though he thinks he does) and gets his points around the paint... the same place Shaq, AV, LeBron, and Leon Powe will be doing their work. He also won't help against the Rashard Lewis' and the Lamar Odom's of the world.

Also, what is going to be your crunch time line up? Mo, Delonte, LBJ, Amare, and Shaq?
I agree with a lot of this. Stoudemire can hit a 15' jumper on occasion, but he isn't a better finisher than Hickson (after the knee problems), isn't a better defender than Hickson (not that Hickson is a good defender, but Amare has never played defense), and isn't as good a rebounder as Hickson. He only averages 8 boards a game playing heavy minutes on a team that has to lead the league in possessions. LeBron would average 12 boards a game playing in 125-120 games in Phoenix.

Not to mention the fact that LeBron only shoots 19-20 shots per game, so what is Amare going to get, 14-15 at most? He is going to accept that in what can be a contract year for him?

Also, why on earth do people assume he will resign here? He might, but if he doesn't like being the #2 guy, he will go elsewhere. Then we are left without any big men for next year, and LeBron is going to come back to that?

What are we going to go against Orlando? There is no way in hell Stoudemire can come close to guarding to Rashard Lewis. Our best lineup against Orlando the other night was Boobie, Delonte, Parker, LBJ, and Shaq. There is no 4 in that lineup, and Amare can't guard Howard. Is he going to want to sit the bench if we face Orlando in the playoffs?

Amare's numbers are inflated playing in Phoenix. If we make the deal, Hickson will go out there and average 15 and 8 immediately.

He is an offensive upgrade over Hickson though, and if he will sign an extension and accept his role here, and learns how to play some defense, and we get Z back, then it might be ok. I am torn, but that seems like an awful lot of ifs that need to happen for it to work.

What makes you think that he couldnt co-exist with Steve Nash? I have never read any reports of Amare and Nash getting into arguments. The reason that the Suns havent had much success in the postseason is due to their style of play. You cant win NBA games playing the up and down style like that.

He pulls in over 8 rebounds a game and he cant rebound? His defense is a little suspect, I will give you that but people were saying the same thing about Mo Williams when he came into town.

Alot of people didnt think that KG, Allen and Pierce would be able to share one basketball and it seemed to work out. Ron Artest is known for taking dumb shots and needing the ball and he seems to be working out in LA. JJ and Andy get the majority of their buckets in the paint and it hasnt taken away from what the Cavs want to do on offense. Why should that change when its Amare? Amare brings the same thing that JJ does only better as well as being able to step out a little bit and knock down a jumper.

ESPN rumor mill has an article of Phoenix offering Amare a 2 year contract extension. Also read in another if Amare is out...Troy Murphy is in for Z and Hickson.

I'm sorry, but Ferry should be fired if he trades Z and Hickson for Troy freaking Murphy. He'd be a nice player, but he's not close to being worth that much.
  • bases_loaded
Hickson will not be involved in any deal not for amare or iggy
  • Hb31187
Did I just read that amare can OCCASIONALLY knock down a 15 footer and cant finish like Hickson? LOL I know this is an Ohio board....but jesus
  • j_crazy
I agree with Hb, JJ can't hit that jumper any more consistently than amare, and amare is a much more polished offensive player. I'm concerned with his defense, but he's never been in a system that stresses defense, so I'm willing to take a chance. I would only consider losing JJ in a deal that brings amare or chirs bosh to cleveland.

Murphy does not equal Amare. This can't be true.
  • Ytowngirlinfla
I think Bosh is a hell of a lot better than Amare. I wish we could pick him up.

The Cavs can't be that dumb! Can they?
  • bases_loaded
Murphy would be last resort and Z n maybe a pick
  • mallymal614
A trade like that would make Lebron want to leave not stay.
  • jpake1
Stay away from Murphy. He won't help keep LBJ in Cleveland for the next several years. A guy like Amare probably would.
