New York Knicks at Cleveland Cavs - Feb. 6, 7:30
-
osu99wish this game was on NBA Tv. Go for 100 Lebron!
-
Tigerfan00David Lee looks like a kid trying to guard Shaq
-
mallymal614I don't know if Mike Datoni will ever when a nba championship as a head coach. His teams never plays defense. This kind of help Cavs fans in the case to keep Lebron, since he stress defense to his teammates.
-
BTBalla35 points in the first half
Even if this is the easiest part of the schedule, its amazing
LeBron is on a mission to get his title this year and continue to bring them to Cleveland -

I can remember writing something about this 2 years ago. D'Antoni had a window where his system could work to win a championship in this league. Due to some bad luck, he was unable to do it with the Suns. Obviously he doesn't have the personnel in New York that he had in Phoenix but that window has closed. Teams have caught up to the system and are able to run with a D'Antoni team if they need to.mallymal614 wrote: I don't know if Mike Datoni will ever when a nba championship as a head coach. As for the game. Ho hum, just another night for LeBron. -
Pick6IMO, IF, and thats a big if Lebron leaves Cleveland, he will be with the Nets, not the Knicks.
-
Tigerfan00Im sure Lebron would love another 4 or 5 years of rebuilding with either the Nets or Knicks
-
Tigerfan00A 3 point game, are you kidding me
-
pkebkerI can't watch the game, how many points is LeBron at?
-

hoops23Cleveland fell a sleep in that 3rd quarter and started letting NY come back. I think they got it down to 12 in the 3rd before getting it down to 3 in the 4th..
But of course, LeBron went MVP and pulled the lead back up after hitting some clutch jumpers.
I'm impressed with the offense (11/22 3pt FG's) and overall numbers, but the defense was atrocious pretty much the entire game. I know the Knicks can put up points, and I wonder if the Cavs were just out to have a little running match? With Orlando coming up Thursday, the defense will need to tighten up a bit.
The thing that had me a little pissed is how much Shaq was getting hit in that 2nd and 3rd quarter and NO fouls were called. There was two times on back to back possessions were the refs let the defender drape all over him. He still finished with 19 points though. -
wes_mantooth^^^Salvator was one of the refs....he always tries to keep the games close. He is one of the worst in the business....other than Javy(sp?)

I used to tell Cavs fans all the time last year that while they had a great record, they still were getting rocked by the better team. Back then, NOBODY wanted to hear that and I got attitudes about it. This is a better team than last year. I'm still not sure if they've got what it takes to beat the Lakers in a 7 game series when it's for all the marbles. Their chances are only getting better as the weeks pass.LTrain23 wrote: This year and last year are like comparing apples to oranges.
Last year, while our record was great, we couldn't beat the top teams in the league. this year, we have been.
Last year we had glaring weaknesses in terms of front court depth and tall wing defenders. This year, we have neither of those problems.
Last year, people wanted us to make a trade for Shaq, because of those problems. They would have been happy with that.
We make the trade for Shaq AND sign those bigger wing defenders, yet people still feel there is a weakness?
This team, right now, has NO weakness. We have one of the best front courts. We have GREAT depth.
If a trade is made, so be it, if not, I won't be mad at all.
I'm hesitant to trade a player like JJ especially. He's got a lot of potential and he's 21 years old. I'd like to actually build a nice core of players here instead of trading away people. The salary cap isn't something you can beat for long. Sooner or later, it'll catch up to you.
Another thing is, chemistry. We have the best team in the league right now, and we also have the best team chemistry. When every guy on that floor trusts eachother, great things can happen.
Also, getting another guy in here could be problematic. LeBron, Shaq, and Mo get the majority of the touches. You don't know how a guy, who on a bad team and getting a bunch of touches, would fit in coming in and being the 4th option on most nights. (see Ron Artest) -
sportchamppsThe difference between this year and last year.
1. This year the Celtics are looking very old and aging before our eyes. Wallace has brought about 0 help to them and they have lost good role players. Now if they can make a trade before the deadline then the cavs will need to look out for them.
2. Kobe is not healthy right now. If Kobe can get back to being healthy then the Cavs are the 2nd best team in the NBA. Without a 100% Kobe the Cavs are the better team.
3. Orlando is not the same team they were last year. They lost their team chemistry with the trades they made in the offseason at the same time they are still a bad matchup for the Cavs.
4. The team got knocked off last year in their first year being the favorites to make it to the finals. This year they know how to play as the favorites and have some good postseason experience from Shaq.
5. Lebron has once again got even better and has pretty much ended the kobe vs Lebron debate. -
hoops23People don't seem to realize we addressed every weakness we had last season during the offseason.
Could we use another player? Sure, every team could, however, it has to be for the right price. -
jpake1People realize you got better. It's just a question of did you improve enough. That we will find out in June.

golf4life2008Last year and the years before I was just happy to get wins. This year is different. I'm mad if we don't win by double digits. That is how sick this team is right now. Most of our losses have come by like 3 points or less this year. Sure we've lost a few bad games but think of all the injuries we have had and we are still winning vs top teams!

What weaknesses? Statistically, the Cavs were better last year in virtually every statistical category.LTrain23 wrote: People don't seem to realize we addressed every weakness we had last season during the offseason.

They were the best team last year, but unfortunately, they got cold at the wrong time. The same could happen this year.
The best team doesn't always win. Upsets happen. Look at what happened in football today. -
wes_mantooth^^^Weaknesses.....length on the defensive end.
I think this team is better suited to play the Lakers, Boston and Orlando because of it. -

The team's margin of victory was a lot higher last year than it is so far this year.golf4life2008 wrote: Last year and the years before I was just happy to get wins. This year is different. In a 1 game winner take all, your right.
In a 7 game series the better team wins.
