Brandon Marshall for Brady Quinn???
-
mucalum49ESPN Insider is running this story in the rumors section:
We're still in the preliminary -- mostly speculative -- stages of the Brandon Marshall sweepstakes. Here's what we know: he's all but done for in Denver, as we continue to read things like this from Mike Klis of the Denver Post: "Today most likely is goodbye to All Things Brandon Marshall."
OK, but where does he wind up? Any team could use a player as talented on the field as Marshall, but not every team wants to deal with the possibility of his off-the-field issues. We've speculated that the Pats and Cowboys would be two teams on the cusp of Super Bowl runs who might take a shot, and on Sunday, Klis added the Cleveland Browns to the mix. Even more intriguing, Klis thinks that the trade could kill two birds with one stone: get rid of Marshall, and get a QB back, as he thinks the Browns could be interested in swapping Brady Quinn. -
SportsAndLadyThat would be fricken sweet
-
Eric TaylorThat would be amazing.
-
devil1197Yeah that would be so amazing until he gets suspended for his 15 year old bullshit.
-
wildcats20Might want to find a QB who can get him the ball first.
-
Crimson_Streakif he can get his head straight he is top 3 receiver in the league. where would that put us at QB position next year? do you draft Clausen or Bradford? do you get a vet qb or trade for mcnabb? this will be a very interesting offseason

Nothing of substance but another rumor in that section is about Troy Smith to Cleveland...wildcats20 wrote: Might want to find a QB who can get him the ball first.
But what about the Browns? They might be in the market for a new QB -- with Mike Holmgren not completely sold on Brady Quinn yet -- and Smith appeared on the ESPN Radio affiliate in Cleveland recently, indicating that playing for the Browns "has always been a childhood dream of mine." -
Al CaponeDidn't Cleveland just trade a cancerous reciever?
-
Eric TaylorTroy Smith would not be the answer.
If you trade Quinn, then you have to draft Bradford because Claussen will be gone by the time Cleveland picks. -
SportsAndLadyTrade Quinn for Marshall.
Get one of the Philly QBs -
Crimson_Streakcould you imagine if the browns got Mcnabb and Marshall? they could actually maybe have a winning record lol
-
devil1197It's going to take more than two players for Cleveland to have a winning record.
-
Crimson_Streakit would significantly improve our offense and if we can saign a couple solid d players and draft eric berry its possible or possibly joe haden
-
j_crazythe broncos would officially be retarded if they made that deal.

Good luck with Massaquoi, Brian Robiskie, and Cribbs then If I am the Browns, I do this trade right now. Marshall doesn't have much left on his deal anyways, if he acts out, don't bring him backdevil1197 wrote: Yeah that would be so amazing until he gets suspended for his 15 year old bullshit. -

1) Its never easy to go out and sign solid defensive players when you are the Browns.Crimson_Streak wrote: it would significantly improve our offense and if we can saign a couple solid d players and draft eric berry its possible or possibly joe haden
2) Eric Berry won't be available by the time Cleveland picks.
Yes, it would improve our offense but your scenario isn't possible. We wouldn't be able to draft a McClain or Haden if we went for McNabb as it would mean giving up our 1st rounder imo. -
Crimson_Streakhey its just wishful thinking
-
sleeperI don't think defense is the problem in Cleveland, and I don't get why everyone wants to keep adding defensive talent. Our defense is not the problem. Sure, its not the best D in the league, its average to slightly above average, but our offense is terrible.
We need offense, period. B. Marshall > Quinn, even with the character issues. -
hoops23People would be amazed at how much more open everybody else will be with just ONE offensive threat.
-
Al CaponeMcnabb will not come to Cleveland period. He's on the downside of his career and would want to go to a contender. If he does leave Philly it will be to Arizona or Minnesota.

McNabb is still under contract, so it doesn't matter what he thinks or wants.Al Capone wrote: Mcnabb will not come to Cleveland period. He's on the downside of his career and would want to go to a contender. If he does leave Philly it will be to Arizona or Minnesota. -

Didnt realize McNabb was now the GM of Philly, thus orchestrating his own trade...Al Capone wrote: Mcnabb will not come to Cleveland period. He's on the downside of his career and would want to go to a contender. If he does leave Philly it will be to Arizona or Minnesota. -

Exactly. There is no WAY this happens.j_crazy wrote: the broncos would officially be retarded if they made that deal.
They can get a lot more for him. -
From the HillsI don't see this deal happening because Marshall doesn't fit the "mold of player" Mangini likes on his team. Now I know with Holmgren and Eckert, Mangini might not always get his type of player. If that is the case we will find out how good of a coach he really is.
Would love to see Kevin Kolb come to Cleveland in a trade. -
IggyPride00Cleveland would assuredly have to throw in a high draft pick to make a deal like that happen, as there is no way that Broncos have Brady Quinn graded anywhere near the level a Brandon Marshall is at. A straight up swap is not realistic.
The Browns do need a big play receiver though. Look at how Braylon Edwards helped the Jets offense just by being a threat to actually make plays. Cleveland is missing that right now.
