Lakers talking with bulls about Hinrich
-
devil1197Yeah, I heard that yesterday.
-
wildcats20Hinrich for Sasha and Morrison...do it. Do it now.
-
2quik4uthe lakers are going to make a big move this season, I can feel it
-
wes_mantoothHinrich would be a hell of an addition.......10x better that farmar.

Not sure I consider Hinrinch a big move imo but a very good move.2quik4u wrote: the lakers are going to make a big move this season, I can feel it
Do the Lakers have enough pieces for a big move? -

I consider it a big move because fisher or farmar cannot play defense what so everdevil1197 wrote:

wes_mantoothI would consider Hinrich a big move, because he is some much added depth that they need. Not to mention, I think a guy like him would flourish in Phil's system.
-
devil1197Its an upgrade at the PG spot but I really haven't been a big fan of Hinrich.
-
Fly4FunHinrich would be solid addition for the Lakers.

jordo212000I wish somebody would actually make a move. I've heard alot of noise but nothing has actually gone down yet

Most of the good moves won't be made until the week/day of the deadline.jordo212000 wrote: I wish somebody would actually make a move. I've heard alot of noise but nothing has actually gone down yet
A lot can happen before the deadline w/ injuries etc so the teams looking to get rid of these guys will wait for the best deal and any options that may pop up. -
Trueblue23I've read the Lakers are looking at Hinrich, Devin Harris or Nate Robinson to upgrade the PG spot..
Give me Hinrich over the other two anyday. -

If those are the options, there really is only 1 option.Trueblue23 wrote: I've read the Lakers are looking at Hinrich, Devin Harris or Nate Robinson to upgrade the PG spot..

devil1197Ya, they talked to NY about Robinson lol.

hoops23Hinrich would be a very solid addition for LA. He would bring a little more toughness and defensive grit to that Lakers backcourt.
He can also be a good 3 PT shooter whens he's on. -
jordo212000
What? Give me the younger, more athletic Devin Harris.Trueblue23 wrote: I've read the Lakers are looking at Hinrich, Devin Harris or Nate Robinson to upgrade the PG spot..

Lakers don't need that..jordo212000 wrote:

Give me the wiser, better 3 pt shooting, defensive PG. -

Harris: 15.3 ppg, 6 assists per game, 1.5 steals per game
Hinrich: 10.1 ppg, 4.5 assists per game, 1 steal per game -

Harris gets stats on a terrible, TERRIBLE Nets team. Of course his points are going to be higher. Hinrich also plays behind arguably one of the best PGs in the League in Rose. Hinrich is a vet, the Lakers don't need another young PG. We have 2 of those in Farmar and The Canon.jordo212000 wrote:

The Bulls aren't exactly world beaters either. I'm not saying Hinrich is bad, or that Harris is Chris Paul, I just think that if the Lakers can get Harris you do it. Fisher isn't getting any younger. Its not like Harris is a flash in the pan either, I really don't know how you guys are using the "he plays on a bad team, therefore his stats are inflated" Harris has been a darn good PG for the past few seasons. I am pretty sure Cuban cries himself to sleep every night for trading Harris for Kidd.wildcats20 wrote:

If the trade was made for Harris either Farmar or Brown would be gone, so the Lakers would still have two young pg'swildcats20 wrote:

Sorry, but I don't think there is any angle you can take that proves Hinrich would be a better fit on the Lakers than Harris. As jordo said, Hinrich plays on a pretty bad bulls team (a little better than the Nets), yet Harris still has more assists and steals than him. Also, Harris isn't exactly a rookie, hes been around the league for a few years and has proven he can take a back seat and fit in on a good team if needed (his role on the mavericks). Although the Lakers are more likely to get Hinrich than Harris, simply because the Lakers don't have that many expendable pieces, Hinrich is most certainly not a better player nor is he a better fit for the Lakers than Devin Harris, and it is silly to argue otherwise.wildcats20 wrote:

jordo212000The assist statistic is especially eye-opening for me. You can use the bogus "decent player on bad team" argument to downplay his scoring, but the assists category is what really sets him apart.
Are you forgetting that Hinrich is a combo guard? Meaning that he plays a good bit at SG too. So he isn't always playing behind "arguably one of the best PGs in the league". What scoring option do the Bulls have other than Rose (I say with a smile). I find it kind of troubling that Hinrich doesn't score more for that very average team.
