arrested for cheering? Stupid NFL rules -
sleeperEh, the video cuts out, so its hard to tell.
-
RotinajWhat a bunch of bullshit. This is why some people dont like cops. There were Charger fans saying the man was doing nothing but cheering for his team.
-
jordo212000yeah the video does cut out, I'd like to see more of what happened. But the guy was kind of asking for it. This might have been an anticipatory arrest. They might have observed what he was doing and tried to stop him before he incited a riot.
-
LJAll the Charger fans around him are saying he didn't do anything. I'm gonna go with their word on that.

Yeah, I wasn't taking up for the guy nor was I saying the police were right. Just giving my $.02.LJ wrote: That's called a false arrest -

Anticipatory arrest???? I hope that was not the case. If police started doing that, they might as well just pull over any sports car going down the road in case the driver decides to speed. IF what the video is portraying is correct, then that is a major abuse of power and the police should be punished accordingly.jordo212000 wrote: yeah the video does cut out, I'd like to see more of what happened. jordo212000And as to the "false arrest" cops have alot leeway with the law. They could have simply charged the guy with disorderly conduct

somebody didn't read on... haha. Just saying why I thought a guy who got arrested, who from all appearances seemed to be doing nothing wrong except yelling at other fans, might get arrested.elbuckeye28 wrote: Anticipatory arrest???? LJI think it all boils down to the NFL's shitty fan conduct policy. There are fans on another forum where I found this saying that they were tossed from opposing team stadiums in the past 2 seasons for cheering LESS than this guy.

Its cool. Its okay. You've watched 3 minutes and 40 seconds of one event and you know exactly what happened before the recording happened and what happened before it mysteriously stops and then continues recording.LJ wrote: Cheering at a football game is not disorderly conduct?
I got a quick definition of disorderly conduct for you via wikipedia:
"A person who recklessly, knowingly, or intentionally:
1) engages in fighting or in tumultuous conduct;
2) makes unreasonable noise and continues to do so after being asked to stop
3) disrupts a lawful assembly of persons; "
Seems like it would be pretty easy for the cops to peg disorderly conduct on this guy. Not saying it was right or that he should have been arrested (he shouldn't have...) -

And all the Charger fans around him were saying he didn't do anything and were even getting tossed for standing up for him. I think I will take their opinion over someone who wasn't even there.
And if what he did was Disorderly Conduct, we might as well all stay away from opposing teams stadiums. -
BCSbunkNow you can't cheer. LMFAO. Not sure if the powers to be ordered the police security to arrest the guy or if the police took it upon themselves to do so.
I will reserve judgment until it is known which of the parties is the worthless POS. -
justincredibleI definitely should have been arrested in Cincy last weekend 'cause I was cheering for the Jets.
Unless he was physically or verbally assaulting a Chargers fan, which by the reaction of the Chargers fans he clearly wasn't, there is absolutely no reason for him to be arrested. I am sure if he was being a dick the Chargers fans would have been more than happy to sell him out. Disorderly conduct? I don't think so. -
justincredibleI hope the cops in Indy are as overzealous as the cops in San Diego. I'm gonna do my best to get arrested this weekend.

its like arguing with a brick wall with you... Once again... because you don't seem to be comprehending this, I do not feel like the guy did anything wrong haha. (that was until he started acting stupid and resisting arrest)LJ wrote: And all the Charger fans around him were saying he didn't do anything and were even getting tossed for standing up for him. The point was that charges can easily be pegged on you by the police. Disorderly conduct is one of those catch all charges that are very easy to put on somebody -

what else would it have been?justincredible wrote: Disorderly conduct? I don't think so. -

I'm the brick wall? I have understood what you have been saying, but I have been saying that it's not that easy. Sure they can "charge" him with anything they want. Doesn't mean it's gonna stick, doesn't mean that an investigation won't find that they were false charges, and it doesn't mean that those charges are correct.jordo212000 wrote:

I'm not saying that isn't what they nabbed him on. I'm saying that it's a bullshit reason if that is the case.jordo212000 wrote:

An arrest based on false premise based on the NFL's ridiculous fan conduct policy.jordo212000 wrote:

Yeah I don't think whatever they arrested him on will stick either (unless there is more to this guy's story that isn't recorded)LJ wrote:

or bad editing. Some other loudmouth (even one on the other side) saying the guy did nothing is less convincing than the Watergate-esque gap in the clip IMO.LJ wrote:

Why are people ignoring the fact that the Charger fans around him where saying that he didn't do anything and were even getting tossed themselves for standing up for him? Yeah, seems like bad editing to mequeencitybuckeye wrote:
