AFC Championship: New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts

The Jets defender can't tell the difference between the ball and the facemask? He grabs the facemask and jerkd it like he's trying to strip the ball out!

Colts score and make this scenario and a Jets win impossible!

I think the Colts will get a turnover and score to put the exclamation point on it

    27 points is too much

the defense needed to hold them to 23-24 at the most like you said

they really have to put it in Sanchez's hands now

    no choice

Colts are on their way now

I think it's better for TV that the Colts are in the Super Bowl

Jets had a fun run but would've been a stupid Super Bowl team lol

like the Atlanta Falcons when they played Denver or one of those teams that just don't seem right

This game is 100% on the Jet defense, who have been about as successful against the pass as the Chiefs D was against Jerome Harrison.

The sad part is the Colts have not even tried to run the ball today, so the Jets have known the pass is coming and still can't do a thing about it.

Peyton Manning is over 377 yds, with 3 td's and a qb rating of 125. Just completely unacceptable if you want to go to the SB.

I thought Sanchez might struggle today, and he has far surpassed anything you could have possibly hoped for in how he has played all things considered. The defense just never got off the bus today.

Revis needed some help. Reggie Wayne has 3 catches. The other 2 WR's have a combined 18.

Matt Stover is still playing? My goodness, I remember watching him as a child when he played for the Browns.

Well, in order to beat the Colts you can either have another great QB and try to outscore them or you can try to shorten the game with the run.

Jets played a good first half but losing Greene took away that running plan and then it was just too much Manning with the ball.

The Jets have just been crushed in the 2nd half. Their defense has absolutely gotten picked apart.

They play some real football up there at Mt. Union!!

Jets should be back but you just never know.

A lot of teams going after it like Indy and NE and Pittsburgh and Baltimore and San Diego and some others that might come on.

Can't think of it that way. Have to seize the opportunity when it's there.

This was a terrible game for an AFC championship. First half was Ok. The second half was like watching white paint dry on a wall. NFL got what it wanted Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl.

    Colts win 30-17

    advance to Super Bowl XLIV

Are you insinuating that the Colts got calls today? Because other than a PA where Sanchez got leveled they had no help....just stuffed the run and executed to perfection on offense.

That play where Sanchez got hit wasn't even that bad, and they couldn't move the ball in the 2nd half anyway. I'm sick of the NFL protecting these pussy QB's. I'm glad it wasn't called.

They got lucky that Greene got hurt or they wouldn't have stuffed the run in the second half.

That's the only disappointment I have with the game. Teams get those breaks sometimes and the Steelers got one when Carson Palmer went down.

Colts offense was really clicking, though, and they would've won either way but it would've been a much tougher second half and better to watch for those of us just wanting a good game.

I did not say a word about calls. I said the NFL got what they wanted Manning in the Super Bowl.

Ok, I wasnt trying to call you out. Someone this week kept posting the Refs would be the ones who got Peyton to the SB. I didnt know who it was.

best fans in the world, come on

don't just throw that out there every time lol

Colts held the Jets to 86 yards rushing and only 4 rushing first downs. They were never going to win this game with those numbers. Sanchez played one HELL of a game to even keep it close early, imo. The Brad Smith gimmick play was huge as well early on.

That's because Greene got hurt when he did, though.

They just started the second half and that's when they wanted to run more and try to wear the Colts down.

He rushed for 7 and 7 on two plays in a row and they had a promising drive going. Then it all went to hell when he got hurt.

He finished with 10 carries for 41 yards but big backs like that get going and often run better in the third and fourth quarter.

I think he finishes with about 80-100 and the Jets score at least 6-10 more points. He broke long runs in the second half against the Bengals and Chargers so he might've been a huge factor. You can't measure how important that was to changing what the Jets wanted to do.

Jones only gets two yards and then it's 2nd and 8 where as Greene starts it off with four or five and then the offense just has so many more options.

I'm not saying the Colts would've lost. They still would've scored more points but it would've been a good fight all the way until the end like the first half with Manning probably making the big drive to win 30-27.
