Expecting Federer
Would love to see Monfils -
LeonardoSharapova, Clijsters, Murray and Nadal highlight Rod Laver Arena action tonight while Safina, Roddick, del Potro and Henin are on the second biggest court.
-
gerb131I will watch as it gets into the 32's and later.
-
Laley23Usually Im upset when Sharapova goes down. But personally, I think this Maria is hotter. I give you:
Maria Kirilenko
-
WarriorDomewow....
Here's hoping Andy wins his 2nd major here... -
Hulk SmashNice pics.
I was glad when the rain delayed Roddick's match last night.
Maria & Maria were playing much more competitive match and they kept leaving it which was annoying. -
Non
Maria wins over Sharapova! -
NonKirilenko reaches the fourth round but now faces second-seeded Dinara Safina
-
cbus4lifeI only watch the women.
-
Laley23Roddick looked pretty good last night, Lopez was a tough out.
Isner is going to be a force if he keeps improving the way he is. To oust Gael Monfils with such ease is a very impressive mark. Monfils has some major game. -
LeonardoBig matches today:
1. Lleyton Hewitt vs. Marcos Baghdatis at 3 AM on ESPN2; their meeting a few years ago went past 4 AM due to backed-up action earlier in the day; Hewitt in a four-set, action-packed matchup.
2. Serena Williams vs. Carla Suarez Navarro; Navarro knocked out Venus last year in this same round; Serena should win comfortably though.
3. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Tommy Haas; Haas can still bang with the best at age 32 but Tsonga is looking to return to the Finals; Tsonga in three close ones. -
LeonardoThe bottom half of the draw looks like this:
(7) Andy Roddick vs. (10) Fernando Gonzalez
(4) Juan Martin del Potro vs. (14) Marin Cilic
(5) Andy Murray vs. (33) John Isner
(2) Rafael Nadal vs. Ivo Karlovic
I could see any one of them in the finals. There are so many interesting quarterfinal and semifinal probabilities. Isner vs. Karlovic (6'10'' vs. 6'11'') or Murray vs. Nadal? Roddick vs. del Potro? -
Nonsome good matches going on right now
Cilic and del Potro in a five-setter
Justin Henin and Yanina Wickmayer in the first set
Andy Roddick/Fernando Gonzalez
Maria Kirilenko/Dinara Safina

NonHenin wins the first set. She earned it 7-6 over Wickmayer
-
Nonbig win for Cilic over del Potro
5-7, 6-4, 7-5, 5-7, 6-3
took 4 1/2 hours -
NonHenin def. Wickmayer 7-6, 1-6, 6-3
Wickmayer came to win and Henin had to be at her best -
NonKirilenko reaches the quarterfinals
Safina forced to retire with a back injury
first set was a battle, 5-4 Kirilenko with some long games -
Leonardo(7) Andy Roddick with a big win this morning! He defeated (11) Fernando Gonzalez, 6-3, 3-6, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. The match finished up around 9:10 AM eastern (1:10 AM Monday in Melbourne).
On Rod Laver today at 7 PM eastern (ESPN2 has coverage):

Nikolay Davydenko vs. Fernando Verdasco (Davydenko in four)
Serena Williams vs. Samantha Stosur (Serena in three)
3:30 AM:
Roger Federer vs. Lleyton Hewitt (Federer in four)
Victoria Azarenka vs. Vera Zvonareva (Azarenka in three) -
gerb131Good win for Roddick hoping he comes through.
-
Hulk SmashGreat win for Andy.
At 6-5 in the fourth he was down 40-0 then won five straight points to take control of a very tough match.
He is now 12-14 when going the distance. -
NonRoddick vs. Cilic next
that won't be easy for Andy, I wouldn't think -
Laley23Cilic is playing well and is a very solid player, but Roddick should be able to advance.
Del Potro I think wouldve caused a few more problems for Andy, although he doesnt have a great overall game and I think andy wouldve won either way.
