    1 down 10 to go.

    Bauer was fantastic.
    Tito is a genius.
    That is all.

I just looked it up. Bauer.

And Gregorius was in on it, too.

edit: And so was Bryan Shaw!

You guyssss...that was really fun. Amazing atmosphere up there tonight.

Offense is gonna need to get going though. Bruce was the entirety of it today.
And that's why, when I asked the question a few weeks back "if you had to choose one to re-sign this offseason, Santana or Bruce" I'm taking Bruce ALL the way.

Kudos to your belief in Bauer. He's making me a believer.

I'm dead even regarding your first statement, and kudos to Tito on the Bauer start--he's a fricking genius.

Indians got Bauer, Shaw, Stubbs, Albers and a pick.
Reds got Choo, Jason Donald, and cash.
Diamondbacks got Tony Sipp, Lars Anderson, and Gregorius.

who did the Yankees give up to get Gregorius then?

Good thing George Steinbrenner is no longer around or the Tribe probably doesn't have Bruce or Andrew Miller.

I thought this was a VBall post for a second. I thought the offense was fine. Plenty of runners and and opportunities. Just didn't get the big hit (save for the Bruce bomb) or the knockout punch.

Bauer was so filthy...just dropping hammer after hammer on them.

    Notes:

Kluber has faced the Yankees twice this year. He's pitched 17 innings and given up 3 runs and 6 hits while striking out 18.

Other than what your kid's vertical leap is (lol), your baseball posts have always been my favorite. I like having your outsiders perspective in here, especially since you aren't rooting against the tribe. It's nice to see what people think without the fanaticism getting in the way. I think if the Indians won 150 games this year and we were playing the Twins, we all still would be nervous.

Bruce yes, but I feel like the Miller trade was for the Yankees to stock pile prospects. Especially since their BP is strong without miller and chapman.

We need the regular season laley back lol. I agree though, a lot of missed opportunities. This game could have been much worse for the Yankees. I hope everyone else got that shit out of their system for tonight's game.

Hey, I resemble that remark-lol (and I was almost offended until I noticed you were from Rossford)...that being said, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but Laley is correct. Our offense was not fine, and I bet if you ask Frankie, Kip, EE, Carlos, etc., they'd tell you the same. I have 100% confidence that they will be, but by no means were they last night.

Shane Greene to Tigers. Robbie Ray from Tigers to Diamondbacks.

Luckily the beauty of this lineup is you only need one or two of these guys to show up instead of putting your eggs all into one guy to carry the load. Nothing better than when they all click though.

My recollection of Steinbrenner was that he was always more of a "win now" type of guy. Don't really think stockpiling prospects was his thing.

He definitely was. I think the makeup of this Yankees roster would be different with him around for sure. The way they are going about it now is pretty similar to how the last dynasty got started. They have found core young players and then they can sign major FAs to supplement them. This could turn into 90's Indians vs. 90's Yankees. I rather get them now, before they get even stronger.

The offense worked the counts, got into hitters counts, and got some walks (5 if you take away the IBB). But some of them still pressed in bigger moments. Taking wild hacks early in the count. I have no doubt they will be fine, just pointing out that 6 hits isn't gonna get it done every night and you cant count on 5 walks.

But yeah, as I said before with Frankie only ever taking bad ABs with bases loaded, I am not worried at all. A deep lineup can mask some struggles of guys, and thankfully the Tribe has a very deep lineup. I think they come out super focused and have a better night overall than last night.

Thanks. I honestly didn't mean anything by it. I know you guys are nervous. I'm irritating on here when Steelers are leading entire game and from the outside perspective it was never in doubt....but I know I'm cuckoo I just simply surprised of how nervous the tone seemed.

    My bad guys. Go Tribe
