Clevinger has been so good lately too. I guess he was due for a bad outing

Zimmer the lightning bolt this team could use.

Trivia: Zimmer is the first Tribe rookie to hit a grand slam since 2010.

Who was the rookie in 2010 that did that?

Zimmers catch in CF is going to be under-appreciated because he is so fast he was there in plenty of time. What a great play.

That diving attempt was awful. Not sure why he thought he even had a play. The base running error I can forgive. Did what you're taught in a ball in dirt, take 2 more steps. Catcher came up with it clean, so you go back. Problem is...he slipped. Not so much a mistake as the dive, but that play did cost the Tribe st least 1 run.

His defense can't be understated. .200 ain't gonna get it don't, don't get me wrong, but there are about 2 3B in the AL I would out above him defensively (Beltre and Machado). That has to count for something. The Tribe has 7 capable offensive players, Urshela shouldn't be needed...just play spectacular defense like he has.

In about a week he won't be needed until the next time Kip pulls a back muscle.

yes it was, but Brantley made two spectacular plays that haven't been mentioned (saving at least two runs) in addition to his second inning homer---he was POG, IMO

Went to sleep when it was tied and woke up this morning to watch hammy's call. I can't think of many better ways to start the day.

For a measure of how good Zimmer and Urshela are defensively, because I feel people don't get it:

Zimmer DWAR (46 GS): 0.5, 14th in AL at CF
Brantley DWAR (57 GS): -0.1, 46th in AL at LF
Lindor DWAR (96 GS): 0.3, 17th in AL at SS
Urshela DWAR (10 GS): 0.2, 16th in AL at 3B
Ramirez DWAR (73 GS): 0.0, 26th in AL at 3B

Imagine these guys with a full season. Both would undoubtedly be in the top 3 at their position. Hard to really get a feel for what defensive metrics mean for a club since with the eye you only really see "errors". But Lindor has been pretty mediocre at SS this year, and was the GG winner last year. I don't think you can help but think that's effecting their inconsistent play.

Was that Santanas rookie year. Called up midway? I know it was Brantleys, but doubt he had a GS, since he hit about 2 HRs.

I cheated and looked. It was Lou Marson. Rookie year, as he was just a call-up 2008 and 2009.
