Tribe at Giants (Series Thread)

Underwood talking about how close Manning and Kuiper are.

Producers pull up the Aug. 77 film of Kuiper's only career home run. Manning giddy while narrating the trot around the bases.

    They're friends, they're in Frisco.

    3-2 through 7.

I don't know what Tito can do to get Zimmer going, but something's gotta be done--he looks awful at the plate.
  • vball10set
Good lord, Almonte, wtf are you doing?!?

    Brantley doubles to right corner.

Hit # 1000 for him. 36th Indian to do so.

    Santana doubles.

His baseball I Q is in the negative.

His baseball I Q is in the negative....at the plate, in the field, on the bases...

    huge error by Santana

    AND there she goes.

Pitching to Posey for the second day in a row in that situation falls directly on Tito. Period.

Another shitty loss. Ump squeezed Jose at the last at bat. They need to figure this shit out. Oh and thanks Shaw.

These bullpen arms haven't been able to overcome errors in the field. Frustrating, but we also shouldn't expect it.

This offense is perplexing. Solid numbers, but the RISP average is horrendous. Not sure it will ever come around.

    Logan probably done for year.

What at a terrible trip. Fuck you California. If we are fortunate enough to make the playoffs then WS, God help us if Dodgers are opponent.

Good lord this is sickening and hard to watch. I thought they overachieved last year but they are really underachieving right now. Guess they need to schedule more series with the Astros?

Well we won one game and won't go winless after the all-star break.

Cue Tiernan yammering away in the basement

    GO TRIBE!!

Why? I'm of the similar belief as Hits' earlier comment that Kip is already on the Baerga-like decline.

Lol, so what does that make Asdrubal and Bruce?

We we could get Cabrera for our single A bullpen catcher.

IMO Bruce is on a decline as well, and I've never been a fan of AssCab...I'm not opposed to trading Kip, but not for these two.

Bruce is on a decline? .266 with 24 HR's & 63 RBI's? He must have Babe Ruthian-like numbers normally if that's a "decline" because I can think of 9 players in the Tribe's batting order who would love that decline.

I get not wanting AssCab but that would plug in two holes (outfield & 3rd base...which Druby said he'd play while moving Ramirez to 2nd)

Bruce is on pace for his best ever season production-wise, so I doubt he's in any sort of decline at the moment. Cabrera's nothing more than, at best, a platoon player; but Bruce has definite value, at least in the short term. The concern about him (which is a valid one) is that last year when he went from Cincinnati to the Mets, he fell off a cliff and went from doing essentially what he's doing so far this year to doing absolutely nothing, so would history repeat?
