Rocky Mountain High.....Tribe @ Rockies
-
BR1986FBThe Tribe heads to the Mile High City for a quick two game set against the division leading Rockies.
Game 1- Clevinger (2-2, 3.10 ERA) vs Senzatela (7-2, 3.49)
Game 2- Bauer (5-4, 5.83) vs Freeland (6-3, 3.53)
With the way the Tribe plays down & up to their level of competition, I wouldn't be surprised if the Tribe swept them...lol -

And Reynolds is having a hell of a year so far. Usually, it seems he's hot in April and then turns to ice, but he kept the hits and homers going through May.Ironman92;1856860 wrote:You know Arenado....Blackmon and LeMahieu are both excellent players -

Commander of AwesomeI expect another sweep. Pitching sucks and our bats have gone silent.

He'll regress to the mean. He usually does. Come about the time they need his bat the most he'll go AWOL.Ironman92;1856908 wrote:He's been head scratching good. -

No one on the planet would guess Mark Reynolds hitting nearly .300 in June with an OPS over .900 -

Yeah, I don't think hitting out there is bad for anyone's stats.Ironman92;1856923 wrote:To the Colorado mean maybe

Arenado has decently better numbers on the road this year...and Rockies have been excellent on the road -
Benny The JetSo this is kind of off subject....but if anyone follows the Indians or any other team's social media, they are really pumping up the whole "Vote for only our players as many time's as possible!!!" thing. For some reason this really bugs me. This is why All-Star games really suck in my opinion. You let the fans decide who's playing, and they stuff the ballots and you get 7 KC Royals playing, it's dumb. Chisenhall, Almonte, or Santana are no where close to deserving...let the players and coaches decide. Sorry.../rant.

I remember back in the early 1960's, I think, when they did this and the Reds loaded up the NL lineup. I will look up when this was. The league went back to managers choosing for a while, then it wasn't long until it was back to the old fan voting thing. Does anyone remember the punch card ballots?Benny The Jet;1856972 wrote:..let the players and coaches decide. Sorry.../rant. -

I did the punch card ones in the 90's at Jacobs Field when we had season tickets. I remember the usher coming down the aisle in between innings and collecting them.BRF;1856980 wrote:I remember back in the early 1960's, I think, when they did this and the Reds loaded up the NL lineup. That's interesting because just the other day supposedly they were thinking about starting Salazar tomorrow. WeirdGardens35;1857009 wrote:Lonnie active, Salazar to 10 day.

I don't think the fans really should have a major say in the selection. It becomes a popularity contest. Agree with peers/coaches deciding.Benny The Jet;1856972 wrote:So this is kind of off subject....but if anyone follows the Indians or any other team's social media, they are really pumping up the whole "Vote for only our players as many time's as possible!!!" thing. vball10set5-0 bottom of 3rd, Clevinger already throwing 52 pitches--26 strikes, 26 balls...I'm switching over to a much better game--the Women's College World Series

AAA pitch. He should learn...but you cant just groove a get ahead fastball. Even pitchers will smoke them. And in a situation like that (bases loaded, 2 outs), he is looking dead red for something he can hit and not wanting to get behind in the count.vball10set;1857029 wrote:Pitcher with a three run double off of Clevinger...sure, why not
