Tribe vs Reds- Series Thread

  • TBone14
4 gamer kicking off tonight with 2 in the Queen City and then two in CLE.

    Monday 7:10
    Tomlin vs Feldman

    Tuesday 7:10
    Cookie vs Garrett

    Wednesday 6:10
    Bauer vs Bonilla

    Thursday
Clevinger vs the still unbeaten TBA.

The Reds on absolute struggle street. Need to score early and often. They have given up 6, 8, 12, 9, 7, 9, 8 in their last 7.

    Go Tribe.

Feldman has been decent and Bonilla can be tough to hit if he can find the zone. Garrett started off like a young David Price but lately has looked not good at all...he's lost some confidence.

If your pitchers hit the corners well they'll do well...if not guys like Duvall, Suarez and Schebler will have extra base hits and you'll lose those games.

Votto already in 2nd half form....he lives on base and is driving them in as well.

If Hamilton gets on base much...Reds win, when he's kept off, Reds lose.

Suarez is an all-star player so far...same with Cozart. Schebler is the guy that surprise you with his play.

Hopefully Carrasco is ready to go tomorrow. Kluber could possibly pitch a minor league rehab start on Thursday.

    Go Tribe!

    Ouch.

I'll be okay with a split here, considering who we've got throwing...GO TRIBE!

Thanks for the preview, as always. I hope the Reds lose 4 more games in a row and then turn it back around. They played well early this year but it seems the wheels are coming off.

Very streaky all season so far. Offense is pretty solid.

Also, like Gomes....Mesoraco showing signs of his former MLB self.

Reds 7-9 inning pitchers are pretty good...these game will be decided in the first 6 I imagine.

Enjoy Votto's plate appearances....he's wearing pitchers out....getting down 0-2 and his numbers are still very good. His base running and footwork at first base might be the worst in baseball. Watch him play first.....very often he'll stretch to the throw too early, on back portion instead of the closer front...his heel will be on base instead of toe....then steps with incorrect foot when he throws. Drives me crazy.

Hamilton making his presence felt. Leadoff single. Avoids an easy double play on a hit and run and scores on a two out single.

    Tomlin

Tomlin not looking great but the bigger issue is Carlos has been down for a few minutes after crashing into the wall down the 1st baseline.

Looked worse live than it was. In slow motion it didn't look bad but I was surprised how long he was down. I was worried he got a spike caught and hurt a knee.

He's fine...actually, the bigger issue is how long before we get a handle on Feldman...

This is our team. The better the matchup...the worse we hit. We would rock Sandy Koufax but throw a random 4A pitcher at us and we will make him look like Cy Young.

Other than Votto swinging at random stuff....my scouting/preview is pretty tight lol.

Tribe likely ties it up before bullpen time

A few feet less and one of the greatest HR robs ever.

3rd time through....he'll need luck to have lead after this inning

    And double by Lindor

    Santana derails the inning.

Brantley being walked hurt the Indians.

It's amazing they are as good as 23-19. Cause there can't be a worse 4/5 combo in baseball right now.
