Apparently wasn't in Houston long enough to wash the stench of Detroit's failure off him.

Sale starts the 7th with 41 pitches and needs 3 outs to get to Kimbrell for up to 6 outs.
  • mhs95_06
Reddick not happy about being asked to bunt 0-1 after taking a fastball strike down the middle!
  • mhs95_06
Sale gives up 2 hits in the 7th, but gets his 4 zeroes.
  • TBone14
Sale can't get it to Kimbrell. Bregman ties it with a homer.
  • TBone14
Is Kimbrell unable or unwilling to go 2 full innings?
  • mhs95_06
After 2 hits in the 7th, Red Sox should have moved on from Sale and started the inning with someone else.

They said Kimbrell was available for two innings from the beginning of the game. Of course they said there would be a rain delay also.

Should have gone with him. Easy to say in retrospect but they were squaring up Sale a bit in the 7th.

Turns out that Kimbrell couldn't get thru one and a third innings to complete the 9 innings, throwing 38 pitches as it was in only 1.0.
  • mhs95_06
Now can Giles get thru 2.0 with one run to spare?
  • mhs95_06
There went the spare run on the first hitter. Should have stopped at 3rd so it wouldn't be a rally killing HR. Springer was correct to go for the catch, the HR was equivalent to a single.

    Fuck the Red Sox

Well if the Indians choke, at least Boston won't be winning the WS.
  • Heretic
Good, Boston's gone. Get rid of NY and 98.4% of ESPN's prime-time baseball line-up during the regular season will have been eliminated early.

Pumped the Astros won....now Cmon Tribe

    NL.....Dodgers vs Cubs/Nats I wish Nats didn't have Dusty

Zimmerman with Votto-like footwork at first base causing failure to get the DP and an error to put a runner in scoring position.

Yes, I'd be rooting for the Nats if they had almost anyone else as manager.

I love when Max Scherzer has a no no in the 7th or more and looks like he could wrestle a grizzly bear.

Dusty baker is such an idiot.
  • mhs95_06
Heyward with his misread off the bat, judging it as an EBH, and trying to score the insurance run on the play, pays dearly by being doubled off to end the inning. Good side for the Cubs is they tied the game and their defensive liability is not in LF any more!

    Cubs win game 3
  • Ironman92
I listened to Dusty's reasoning for taking Scherzer out....maybe the dumbest mindset I've ever heard. It made me shake my head 3x. He just simply doesn't get it at all....and he believes he is right.

    What did he say?

Mind you he had a no no 1 pitch earlier and was stomping around untouchable like we know him to do. There wasn't a risk of injury.

And the lowest point is when the well-researched reporter asked him if he thought about bringing in the righty because he has reverse splits....it's hard for me to even talk about his close-mindedness
