NBA Champion - Cleveland Cavaliers 2016-2017 Season Thread

I find complete validation, once again, of myself correctly calling the dumpster fire that is the D-league contingent. I was the only one who said Felder, McRae, and Liggins would amount to jack shit in this league. I hope we cut them all tomorrow or trade them for paper bags. Absolute garbage.

    He's Dleague FG% is .571 & .444 from 3.

Damn. I'm with you. If he can hit 40% from 3 combined with what he does...he's the guy I want.

GSW is flipping us off though.

    Where do you see that?

Im seeing 30% this year in Europe and last year in dleague 27%

That's what I found too, that he's playing in Serie-A in Italy on a team with David Lighty.

Ah yes, must have been blinded by love of Aaron Craft.

Either the Jazz own his rights now or he is an NBA/DLeague Free Agent. The Warriors D-League team traded him to the Jazz D-League team in September.

Cavs contacted Mavs about Derron Williams.

Hard to imagine dwill coming in playing a role he's never played and being a difference maker.

Unless he wants to rot away in Dallas. But his contract is up end of the season so I guess he can do whatever next year.

You guys aren't going to believe this but Stu Gotz is on Sportscenter bashing Lebron and defending Barkley. They couldn't find a bigger douchebag Miami homer? Lebatard was too busy?

I might be in the minority here, but I don't think what Barkley said was wrong. Cavs have given everything Lebron has asked for and he still cries every year mid season.

You can't blame ownership for the J.R. Smith injury either. Not that it's an excuse because the Cavs are hardly looking like a defending champ, but are they really struggling badly enough to warrant LeBron's bitching if he's 100%? I don't think so.

You aren't. Lebron is crying like a baby despite having the highest payroll ever on guys that he(at his agent's benefit) wanted.

I still like him coming out against Barkley though.

You're not in the minority. I actually haven't seen a take that say otherwise (might be one, just aint seen it). Not FO's fault for lack of hustle/def/ball movement. That's on the players.

Can he still play? Is he in shape? Is he mentally ready to play?

No to any of the above questions means no thanks.

Rumor is the Cavs are going to sign both Rio and Stephenson. Possible that McRae/Liggins/Birdman are cut/traded.

Yes. He was a stud back in the day, take a fucking flier and hope for a payoff. Can't hurt esp for a vet min.

We don't have unlimited bench space so we don't have the luxury of "taking a flier". This is a championship contending team; taking a flier is for trash building for next year.

If Sanders is trash or he is purely to "take a flier", I'd rather have the D-league contingent.
