NBA Champion - Cleveland Cavaliers 2016-2017 Season Thread

I'd take both Cavs/Warriors from the past 3 years over any team in the 90's. If they went to 5 games, I'd be impressed.

    Well ... I mean ... it's only "bad" if it doesn't work, right? ;)

But if I was the one shooting the triple, yes. It would be a bad thing. Every time. And it wouldn't even matter if I was a prick about it afterward.

    Rodman would give Durant fits.
Pippen would erase Klay from the score book.
    Jordan would make Curry cry.
The warriors wouldn't break 90 against that team.
Rodman would probably be on Green. If not, Green would eat all day.

And no. Durant would own Rodman's soul by the end of the series. KD could pretty much just hold the ball in the air, out of Rodman's reach. It might seem hard to realize, but Rodman was no taller than Klay Thompson. He muscled his way in the paint, which is why he was so good on the boards, but against Durant, height matters.

Rodman could probably guard Green well, but if he did, Durant would eat. If they put Rodman on Durant, Durant would still eat, but less. Green would have a field day.

No disagreement on Pippen and Klay. Klay would become a non-factor, but it would take Pippen's constant attention for that to happen. Though honestly, Pippen might have been better suited to guard Durant than anyone.

And Jordan's defense would have to change. He'd have to guard any shot from the hash, because Steph can hit that. That means he gives more room to drive. Also, Curry is really good at shooting threes with contact.

However, Jordan would also be able to drive at will on the offensive side of the ball.

    96 Bulls v 17 GSW score would be 175- 93 Warriors.
Repping this for the lulz of "KD would BF rodman all over the floor."

That 2000 season might be the most dominant season from an individual player in NBA history.
That's a good call. Nobody on this Warriors team would be a good answer for Shaq. He'd get fed the whole game and then just back everyone down. I have a feeling Zaza would eventually pull a Chris Dudley because of how bad Shaq would make him look.

I dunno about the "5 games" part, but I probably would, too.

Probably so but those 91-91 Bulls teams had some great defenders. Pippen an all-time elite defender is at worst Kawhi. Horace Grant at 6'8-6'9 was great defender....those two could take turns on Durant and other on Thompson/Curry. Put Jordan on Curry or Thompson.

    Go Cavs.

    Go Cavs.

    This is pretty inexcusable:
    #MVPLeBron?

This year with Kyrie and Love on the floor without LeBron...the Cavs have been outscored by 22 points

^^^ I don't think it is going to happen, on both counts, but IF the Cavs were to come back and win this series, my dark horse MVP would be Kyrie. I know LBJ would win it and, and he's put up awesome numbers, but KI is going to need a Herculean effort for them to win this. LBJ can't do it alone.
