It started gaining a little steam after his brother won the bachelor. It has cooled off ever since Rodgers and the Packers got hot. I didn't read the article, but I know his father has to buy tickets himself to go watch his son play. It's sad.Ironman92;1830811 wrote:I googled. WTF? Didn't know 1 single thing of this. Sounds like an ass.

They look like the classic wildcard round team that is getting hot at the right time. If I recall correctly, this is how GB won the SB the last time they won it.Iliketurtles;1830856 wrote:Not that I think its a terrible opinion but care to say why? -

Just seem unbeatable right now. Rodgers can do know wrong...found a new big target to go with Nelson.Iliketurtles;1830856 wrote:Not that I think its a terrible opinion but care to say why? -

Yeah, in the final 4-5 weeks of the season, three of the six teams all lost (or benched because he really really sucks) their starting QB. And a fourth that could have made it more exciting at least (Tennessee) also lost theirs. That's just a bizarre run of bad timing, especially since Mariota and Carr both went down on the same day.like_that;1830854 wrote:Pretty much this. I do feel bad for Oakland though. I thought they could have been in the mix to make it to the AFC Championship at least. The AFC playoffs went from interesting to a huge disappointment very quickly. -
wildcats20The Packers haven't won a single road game this year worth a damn, unless you count week 17 against the Lions. They will be playing potentially 2 tough road games in the playoffs, IF they can beat the Giants. And the Giants have already won in Green Bay this year.

HereticIn non-playoff news, Buffalo has turned into a comical shit-show. The interim coach didn't know anything about the decision to bench Taylor for Manuel. Now, the GM is saying he had no knowledge of why the Ryans were fired and that the interim coach was suggested to him by Ryan (ie: he had no input in anything).

They were a clusterfuck during a must win game vs Steelers....couldn't get right players on field, plays called in etc.Heretic;1830910 wrote:In non-playoff news, Buffalo has turned into a comical shit-show. Buffalo deserves better. I think Buffalo being good is good for the NFL -
friendfromlowryFor the love of God can Adam Jones be cut now

SportsAndLadyFFS, can we get that POS out of the NFL for good now?

Playoff week! Always an exciting time. Even though it could possibly help the steelers it does suck to see guys like a Carr out for the playoffs. Sets up nicely for Brady and Pats. I dont even know if Oak can win 1 game.
NFC: Will be interesting to see how it works itself out. Cowboys had a great run in the regular season, but the playoffs speed up even more. AFC I think many expect it to be N.E. and with Gronk I would give them the clear path. They have the bye, then a tuneup game before facing likely KC for the AFC.
Per the usual, I would pick 'the field' against any one else's picks. -
Crimson streakI think this is the year Atlanta gets over the hump and makes it to the super bowl. They have been a machine the past 4-5 weeks and Matty ice is playing better than any qb in the league right now.

I just feel so terrible for the racial oppression that has affected Michael. Maybe one day, white people will treat blacks equally and he won't have to make these comments to start a conversation.SportsAndLady;1831152 wrote:http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18402123/seattle-seahawks-dl-michael-bennett-called-detroit-lions-zach-zenner-best-rb-nfl

thavoiceWhat y'all think about this who Giants blown up story over new years and going to Miami to party?
It was their day off, so they can do whatever they want of course, but was that the best thing to do? What would you prefer the players on your team to do the weekend prior to the playoffs?
Personally, traveling always gets me a bit tired and I admit I am not as young and athletic as they are, of course. I dont think it matters much, but I would rather see the players on my favorite team to just stay local, maybe get a little bit more rest and recover, before the biggest game of the season. Hell, they dont even have to do anything football related, but just relax especially knowing that your season can be over within a week, and at most a month and then you are pretty free to do whatever for quite a long time. -
HereticMy opinion: If you're out partying until the wee hours the night before a big game, fuck you. If all it seems you're doing is partying or it's obvious that your partying is being detrimental to your play (aka: Manziel), fuck you. If you're partying a full week before said big game, fuck anyone who actually has an issue with that (assuming you're not doing anything while partying that will get you suspended for that game). Dudes work hard as fuck at their job and risk legit injury every time they step on the field -- they should be able to unwind like that if they want without morons passing judgement on them because, in their little world, pro athletes should be robots who do their job and nothing more.

I get a little tired when I travel, therefore NFL players shouldn't travel because then they could get tired!thavoice;1831258 wrote:What y'all think about this who Giants blown up story over new years and going to Miami to party?

This. It doesn't bother me at all.
And thavoice just compared his Southwest Airlines adventures to that of millionaire athletes. Bravo sir! -

It is in the Classy territory of comparing himself to pro athletes because he played a round of golf with a cut on his hand.SportsAndLady;1831278 wrote:I get a little tired when I travel, therefore NFL players shouldn't travel because then they could get tired!

thavoiceGuess COnner Cook will be getting his first start at the Texans. They were saying that the top ranked defense is 8-0 at home in the playoffs? Think I didnt hear the whole stat but that was being talked about this morning.
I am going to go out and say that Cook has a helluva game and the Raiders upset the TExans. -
HereticI'm going to say Cook goes 6-for-21, gets sacked a bunch of times and Archie Griffin comes onto the field to piss on his mangled body.
-
Ironman92That Texans/Raiders game has all the makings of a 9-6 Game.
So I'm sure it'll somehow be 28-27
