De-crowning the Royals... Tribe @ K.C.

  • HitsRus
The Indians are in K.C. for a 3 game set hoping to continue putting a hurt on the World Champions.

Carlos Carrasco takes on Edinson Volquez in the series opener tonight at 8:05.

Hoping to see the early season Carrasco tonight. Go Tribe. Glad to be back and watching every game again.

I know Martinez was on the team for a month or so, but where did this guy come from?

A little off the subject, but one of the smartest things I ever did was to marry a girl who likes baseball. ....35 years off marriage, 28 years of season tickets, and three baseball/softball playing children later we are still together and happily married.

Well, if you are single, and you're tired of dating women that don't what a home run is and won't let you get to first base ;).....here's the solution for you!

What an idea, a baseball dating site.
I don't need it, but if you do.......

Cheering them on from the Sydney Airport! Keep the streak going Hits. Hope you're still starting threads when I return stateside!

Carrasco getting smacked around--might be an early night for ole Carlos
  • iclfan2
Indians have had plenty of chances so far, but nothing. Carrasco does not look sharp.

..........he will kiss her on the strikes and she will kiss him on the balls.

So top of 9, no outs, guy on first. Tito lets Gomes swing away into a double play. Dude has been terrible at the plate, pinch hit and bunt. No hitting tonight with risp.

reps... Was going to post something similar. Gomes has been terrible.... And Tito plays it so tight in big games within the division. Goat horns to both of them.
This was a very winnable game.

Josh Tomlin (8-1, 3.48) goes against the Royals' Young( 2-6, 6.37) in tonight's tilt.

    Better win this one.

Santana puts the Tribe on the board in the 3rd with a solo homer.

Tribe have their 2nd lead of the game. 2-1 middle of the 5th. Could have and should have scored more on Young. Had runners every inning.

Naquin has another botched fielding attempt. Luckily, Tomlin gets out of it.

He was playing on the warning track. I understand no doubles but cripes he was too deep.
  • TBone14
Tomlin doing his thing. Tribe offense keeping it close. Couple insurance runs here would be nice.

g dang it.....Tito plays it close to the vest again, the Indians fail to push across an insurance run and Shaw gives up the lead in the bottom of the 8th. SMH.
  • Gardens35
Dang, Shaw serves up another one. Down 3-2 heading to 9th.
  • Ironman92
I've not caught but maybe 8-10 Indians games this year but when I do Raj Davis gets on base at about a .700 clip
  • Ironman92
    Tough loss
  • Laley23
Shaw has to be done in meaningful innings at this point. Tito is too smart to keep fucking this up.
  • vball10set
Note to Tito, we are 1/3 of the way done with the season. It isn't a slow start (like Allen). Shaw just doesn't have it this year. But plenty of others in the pen do, so use them!!

Maybe being a bit harsh on Shaw. I knew he had a solid stretch, didn't realize how solid or how long. But, I still think Otero gives us the best chance. Guy has been lights out all year.
Laley, you posted this on the previous thread--you were prophetic--and correct....Shaw's had his chance and has blown it too many times...time to move on...
