2016 NBA Playoff Referee Discussion

sleeperSteve Kerr agrees with me. All of your opinions that go against mine are now against the NBA coach of the Year and the current coach of the team with the most wins in league history. This is your battle. Enjoy!

Steve Kerr on officiating reports: "No, I don't like the practice. I appreciate the NBA trying to be transparent, but it's unfair to the officials. I feel like it throws them under the bus. They have an impossible job. I don't think there's any point personally in exposing bad calls" -
like_thatYou're still talking about this? LMAO

So you confirm that your opinions are in direct opposition to the NBA Coach of the Year? Just want to make sure you understand that your views and the others on the forums that agree with you are arguing against not only me, but Steve Kerr.like_that;1796184 wrote:You're still talking about this? Once again, I'll be on the right side of the argument. Please tell me more about how he is wrong and you are right. Enjoy! -

He doesn't think the NBA should publicize the bad calls. That's not even what we were arguing lolfail.sleeper;1796190 wrote:So you confirm that your opinions are in direct opposition to the NBA Coach of the Year? Nowhere is he arguing that they never make bad calls. I have seen Kerr bitch and moan (along with his players) plenty of times at the refs during games.
Please keep trying too hard though. It's furthering the lulz for everyone. -
SportsAndLadyJesus sleeper.

Ironman92Yeah, nothing of benefit potentially for Kerr by defending the refs and saying the league throws them under the bus. It's the very very intelligent way to handle it. Maybe get a few calls when it matters when they really needed. Officials are humans.
This stance would mean a ton more coming from a coach not still in the playoffs. -

Read the full quote. He says it's an "impossible job". Confirming the belief that he understands no ref will be perfect, they will miss calls, and that those calls will never be the reason why the lost or won the game.like_that;1796196 wrote:He doesn't think the NBA should publicize the bad calls. That is my stance as well and the stance of Steve Kerr. Your opinions and viewpoints are in opposition to this; do you understand? Enjoy climbing out of the hole you've dug for yourself! -

Good to know you disagree with the Coach of the Year. Tell me more about your basketball credentials and how they are superior to Mr. Kerr!Ironman92;1796198 wrote:Yeah, nothing of benefit potentially for Kerr by defending the refs and saying the league throws them under the bus. It's an impossible job, yet he bitches and complains to them during games. Your argument is now coming down to "nah nah nah I am right and you are wrong!!" Again, keep trying harder.sleeper;1796199 wrote:Read the full quote. He says it's an "impossible job". Edit: complaining about refs does not mean we are blaming the game on them. You're making this argument up for your own sake.
Also, as I said in the other thread if you don't want to read about is complaining about the refs then don't read or post in the thread. Either do that or stop crying. You will be better off regardless. -

It's his job to manipulate the human element of the game. I can't blame him for trying to tip the balance of calls in his favor but he also understands that the game will never be ref'd perfectly. That's why he is against the hindsight, backseat 20/20 reports that point out bad calls; the stuff you guys bitch and moan about for 50 posts after every game.like_that;1796202 wrote:It's an impossible job, yet he bitches and complains to them during games. Grow up and learn the game. Then tell me more about how you are right and Steve Kerr is wrong. -

So you don't think he is doing that with the exact quote you used? LMAO. You're better than this sleeper, just give up. Enjoy digging yourself out of the major hole you dug.sleeper;1796203 wrote:It's his job to manipulate the human element of the game. Steve Kerr will bitch and moan because he is trying to gain a call later in the game to tip the balance in his favor. He doesn't find value in crying about calls after the game and doesn't care about the NBA admitting mistakes.like_that;1796204 wrote:So you don't think he is doing that with the exact quote you used? There's nothing to give up; when I'm right, you either agree with me or you're wrong. That is the reality. Please continue to argue against reality. -

That's fine with me. I'd rather be on the other side of the ignorant masses and not with them. Continue to bitch and moan about how bad the NBA officiating is while continuing to watch the product. Real honorable of you!like_that;1796208 wrote:Whatever let's you sleep at night little guy. Everyone is laughing at you. Enjoy! -
like_thatSleeper mad, because his attempt at a "drop the mic" type argument was undressed in only a few minutes. [emoji23]

HereticSleeper's turned into Tiernan Jr. Lol.

Commander of AwesomeLets ask Kerr what he thought about the RW travel. lolfail sleeper

Let's also ask Kerr if that lack of travel call lost them the game. lol fail indeed.Commander of Awesome;1796224 wrote:Lets ask Kerr what he thought about the RW travel. lolfail sleeper -
Midstate01I haven't even read all these posts, but I do think that Kerr isn't stupid. He's 100% trying to get on the officials side here. Don't forget he played for Phil who was the ultimate at working the officials during off days to the media.

This is what I thought too. He wants the officials to see him siding with them. It's pretty obvious to see that.Midstate01;1796227 wrote:I haven't even read all these posts, but I do think that Kerr isn't stupid. He's 100% trying to get on the officials side here. I didn't want to continue to de-rail the real NBA discussion into a discussion about refs.vball10set;1796231 wrote:can't believe you actually started a thread devoted to this...hahaha
Steve Kerr and I agree. That's enough for me to remain in my ivory tower. -

sorry, I just figured you'd be too busy running any of your many conglomerates to be bothered with something as trivial as this...my badsleeper;1796233 wrote:I didn't want to continue to de-rail the real NBA discussion into a discussion about refs.

It's free practice in a low stress, low effort environment. Small wins on a useless internet forum is a nice confidence boost when taking on things that matter.vball10set;1796235 wrote:sorry, I just figured you'd be too busy running any of your many conglomerates to be bothered with something as trivial as this...my bad
I didn't need Kerr but now that he has agreed with me 100% on this issue, I feel that once again reality has won.
