2016 NBA Playoff Referee Discussion

like_thatNot that I needed any further proof that sleeper's argument is idiotic, but please delight yourself in reading this hot off the press article.
Lebron James agrees with most of us on this forum. All of sleeper's opinions that go against ours are now against the best player in the NBA (or the greatest of all time according to sleeper) and the current leader of the team with the most three pointers in a game in league history. This is your battle. Enjoy!

"I have no idea what it is," James said after practice Tuesday. "I know what it is when it happens to someone else, but I don't know when it involves me. I have no idea what a common foul and flagrant foul is."
I'd rather be on the other side of the ignorant masses and not with them. Continue to bitch and moan about how we comment about NBA officiating in the Cavs/NBA thread while continuing to read and post in those threads. Real honorable of you!"I thought Tristan's throwdown last night was a little excessive, but he went up there and made two free throws and that's all that matters," James said. "I've pretty much chalked it up to common fouls [being called] with me [getting hit]."
I didn't need LBJ, but now that he has agreed with us 100% on this issue, I feel that once again reality has won. That's enough for us to remain in our ivory tower. Grow up and learn the game. Then tell me more about how you are right and LBJ is wrong. Also, please continue to argue against reality.

sleeper
Lebron never said anything about the call itself. Just that he would like more clarification from the refs.like_that;1796270 wrote:Not that I needed any further proof that sleeper's argument is idiotic, but please delight yourself in reading this hot off the press article.

Entirely different topics. The irony of course is that Lebron admits that he's there to play the game and let the refs do their job further validating my point. Nice try though! -
sleeperhttp://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2016/story/_/id/15737936/2016-nba-playoffs-adam-silver-says-reports-show-referees-90-percent-correct
Reality."Roughly 90 percent -- they get it right," Silver said. "Now, of course, I'd like 90 percent to be 100 percent. And so would they. But what these reports also show, what fans already know is, human error is part of this game, and the best athletes in the world make mistakes. And coaches occasionally make mistakes. Officials do, too." -
SportsAndLadySo they get 9/10 calls right. That's rough.

like_thatSleeper is now a sheep of the NBA [emoji23]. Also still missing the whole point of the original argument.
