Is Judge still so highly touted?

I just don't see it from him. One of the slowest players I have ever seen.

He went from top 10 in BBA to 42nd.

I just watched him in the futures game last year and they were comparing him to all of these big names and outside of his body size I didn't see any of it. I remember he put a ball in play deep into the hole of the infield and he couldn't beat it out. It was a gigantic red flag. He was Bengie Molina slow

Chapman hit 105 mph twice tonight and 104 mph 3 other times. He let it go max effort tonight. I've watched him pitch 150x and it looked faster than normal tonight.

Chapman last night threw the 5 fastest pitches of the StatCast era

Auditioning for a trade and/or free agency this offseason.........

Bryce Harper is struggling but he just hit the most impressive HR I've seen all year. About 25 rows into the upper deck in Washington

Pulled out the old VHS of Ripken's 2131 game....as good as I remembered. 22 min standing ovation. Crazy
  • Ironman92
    Chapman's final 5 pitches in the 9th for the save: 104, 105, 105, 105, 104

Piazza being classy as hell. Good stuff.

I wish he would've told Clemens how good this feels and for him to kiss his ass.

Griffey is struggling...and so am I.

    Whew.

    Cubs getting Chapman?
  • Ironman92
White Sox closer David Robertson gave up 3 HR in the 9th to blow the save but wound up as the winning pitcher.

He's blown a couple in spectacular fashion recently because I'm pretty sure I read about him blowing one by giving up a shit ton in the ninth a few days ago.

Sale going for his 15th win led 4-1 after 8 and Robertson gave up 4

Griffey ...nice pin strips and tie!

  • Ironman92
Screw the Cardinals but I feel terrible for the kid pitching his MLB debut on SNB.

    9 ER, 8 hits, 2 BB 1 1/3 inning

Apparently for a top 15 prospect, albeit just in A ball.

Not motivated enough to look up the progress of the 4 guys the reds got when they unloaded him to NY to see if they got hosed on the deal.

They did. They should have kept him and traded at deadline. I still dont understand that...leverage is always better at deadline when teams fight for players.

Ashamed the Reds couldn't make a deal for him last year at this time to fleece some team

FWIW. Torres is up to #27 from starting in the 40's and McKinney is unranked this year after being ranked in the 80's last year. So a decent hull for the Yankees.

    Good info.
Spanks to a top 15 guy who is only in A. Could pan out, but A is still quite a projection away.

Half of RedsZone is going crazy because the Yankees got more for Chapman than the Reds.

I don't care about that one bit.

Pleased to have Chapman in blue pinstripes, but man...that was a hefty price tag.

Gleyber Torres is 19, considered the Cubs top prospect. Average power, good fielder. He was blocked on the infield anyway with Russell and Baez, even 3 years from now. So I get it. Look at his numbers, they're far from impressive offensively.

McKinney is another one who was a top prospect (acquired with Russell in trade with the A's). He has not progressed through the minors, mainly again because he is blocked.

Warren is a MLB relief pitcher with a lot of upside. He was struggling a little bit the last month or so, but he was young and cost controlled.

If Chapman doesn't re-sign with the Cubs or agree to an extension, I will be a little more upset. If they win the WS, I won't give 2 fucks.
