2016 NFL Playoff Thread

Meh, Denver was better down the stretch and they won. Could have been either team's game up to the end, which is all I could ask for since I wasn't particularly optimistic entering the game. Besides, can't really expect to have two straight playoff opponents to go full retard and hand your team the game...

After a couple disappointing years, I guess I can say they probably got as far as I would have expected, all things considered. Made the playoffs, beat the team you expect to beat if you're playing them in that situation and then lost to the more mature and composed Broncos on the road.

Sums it up for me. I'm not even mad. Just sucks to think about the "what ifs" regarding players being out.

Pittsburgh is setup rather nicely for the next 2-3 seasons. Hopefully they make some positive moves in the off season to shore up the defense.

When I saw we always had all the final games and all games in this particular league were on Sunday....knew it would hit a couple games. Glad they made it that far for me to miss....I would've been a fuckin mess anyways had I watched it. Heard some updates of course because apparently people don't know we have phones nowadays that give us scores and updates. I hate those people.

Forget the year but it was Steelers/Ravens in the AFC Championship (I think) and my daughter had an away game (high school) and I had the game being recorded. I'm literally sitting in the gym with about 50 damn people watching the game while about 200 were crammed into the cafeteria watching the game as it was near the end (I knew by what time it was and could see cafeteria from my game seat. My peripheral vision was telling me how things were going.

Excuse my S&L length post but I hate unasked updates of sports. Recorded the Reds last summer and after our ballgame my 88 year old grandma made sure to tell me the Reds won and the score. SMH and my wife sucks at doing that as well.

I almost missed it too, originally was to be leaving to drive 2 hours at 4. I was in the Poconos and thankfully my ride decided to stay to watch and we left right after.

I don't understand why they wouldn't have the 2nd one a night game.

By the time we finished game and sat down for dinner out...didn't get home until it was 23-13 when I turned the tv on. I missed the 2nd Bengals matchup and Ravens game as well due to same reason.
DVR is your friend, watch the game in a fraction of the time, and put family first.

I know how it works....one push of the fast forward button goes from one pitch to the next and one snap to the next. I DVR most Reds games and watch in about 1/2 time.

A couple Broncos players calling out Gronk and Brady this week. Doesn't seem like a good idea.

Gronk & Brady will now kick the shit out of Denver which really bothers me because I picked Den to win it. But who the fuck doesn't learn you dont talk trash to these fuckers? They have made a career out of shutting people up. Jesus Broncos how fucking dumb are you?

Anybody can talk trash on the Clowns all day and they can't do a fucking thing about it but you don't do it to the Patriots.

Jared Allen out for NFC Championship

Sports Science broke down how the altitude in mile high. Pretty neat if you get a chance to see the 2 minute snip it. Talked about how the ball travels, oxygen within the body and differing affect from the wind.

Good fortune for Den to stop NE on the 1st drive.

Denver outplaying NE big time early on

I thought better fortune to get the flag on the unwatchable ball on 3rd and 6 to continue the drive.

The better crews (a lot of the younger guys) let defensive coverage guys be pretty physical.

TJ Ward does basically the same thing on Gronk but it was allowed.

Not a fan of Hochuli. I think most of the better refs have already worked games this postseason. Hard to imagine Hochil being heralded this high.

NE's biggest problem will be oxygen if they don't hold Broncos to a short drive.

    Nice return by Amendola

I think Brady needs to go downfield and quit being a wuss afraid of their pass rush.

Defintiely it was, as was the non-call on Gronk.

Den just lost their field position edge allowing so many yards on the punt return -- very poor tackling.

The Broncos are doing a good job pressuring up the middle and not letting Brady step up into the pocket.
