2016 Browns Season Thread

  • Go4alOngbOmB
In my defense, I used the words "if" and "might" and "could" not WILL.

When Vegas came out and had us at 4.5 wins this season, I pretty much told everyone I knew to mortgage their home and bet the under. (Being a Browns fan, I had, and still have, little hope)

Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me I see an offense that may over achieve. Ill let you know in week 16 if Im homeless or not! :D

If they win 5 games, they'll all be 42-39 victories because that defense is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. How are they STILL not able to stop the run after it being a glaring weakness for 5 years now?

    Book it.

3-13 with a home win over San Diego to lose the #1 pick and draft third.

    Book it.

I'd be pissed if they won 8 games. Just dumb. They need to suck and need Philly to suck.

    This. It's the Cleveland way.

Same shit different year. 4-12 and everyone will be fired

I'm pretty excited for this weeks preseason game. It will be nice to see Gordon, Pryor, Coleman and barnidge all on the field at once.

4-12 very likely. No one getting fired after though.

    Sticking to this

    With a pineapple.

    I would deal for him a 1st, a 3rd, and a 2018 2nd rounder though.

He's worth where he'd be drafted today with the knowledge that he's a multiple drug offender. You get more than that, you move him.

    Disagree with that.

Elite WR's are not easy to get. We have one. Even if a team wants to overpay for him, doesn't mean they should do it.

H is only 25...gotta keep him and hope he got his shit together. If teams are willing to trade for him given the baggage he must be putting on a show in practice that has leaked out to other teams

Agree with your first sentence, think the second is a mild stretch (not enough time on the field), disagree with the last. The chance that he won't smoke himself out of the league by the time the team has been built into a playoff contender is extremely low IMO. If someone is willing to overpay, make the deal.

what if he doesn't toke up and hotbox the stadium though? Rather have him then not in that scenario.

ESPN reporting that Mingo was traded to the Patriots. Didn't say what we got in return though.....

It's the Patriots, so you probably got nothing. In fact, you're sending a 6th round pick, too.

    Browns got a 5th.

    of what?

That's a good give up for a guy that was on the verge of getting cut or playing special teams. They had already refused the 5th year option. I'm sure Belichek will make him into a more decent player but oh well. Our front office has been abysmal with 1st round picks. Read Detroit was interested too, which is why it took a 5th.

Fuck yeah, Browns are on CBS nationally.
  • SportsAndLady
    Nice play to Gordon deep.
