SportsAndLadyLol that was a wtf pick

MulvaOff the top of my head, 2 guys I'd be interested in for tomorrow would be Andrew Billings (Shelton or not I think he's a huge value at this point) and Jeremy Cash.

Midstate01Give me cash and Scooby Wright to start the 4th and I don't care what they do after that.

vball10setsmh at Kessler, but glad it wasn't Cook--I think he's a head case

iclfan2Decent article on why Hue took Kessler. Still a head scratcher though, probably would have been there much later.

like_thatNo doubt the Browns will be grabbing a QB early next draft. I'm ok with the Browns grabbing a QB every draft until they figure it out. Kessler was their guy for THIS draft then so be it.

I trust hue more than anyone. Obviously he saw something in him and thinks he could become a starting qb in this league. I'm willing to give him a shoticlfan2;1794279 wrote:Decent article on why Hue took Kessler. Still a head scratcher though, probably would have been there much later.

sleeperI like the picks so far so the QB doesn't upset me. I personally think its a wasted pick but maybe they know something I don't.
-
SportsAndLadyI liked our first 2 days, but I'm not sure what we were thinking on Kessler. I think that might have been a little Hue ego coming out in that pick. He's developed a lot of young qbs but Kessler has zero arm strength and couldn't even break .500 in his career at USC against top defenses.
I like the idea of grabbing a young QB and seeing if he can pan out, but would have much preferred Cook or the NC State QB. -
vball10set^^^ why the love affair with Cook? The Browns certainly don't need another player, especially a QB, with that kind of baggage. IMO, he's a taller, bigger, less athletic toned-down version of Manziel. Like you, I'm not sold on Kessler, but I think it would've been a disaster waiting to happen if they would've drafted that dbag...jmo.

I agree, there's a reason teams have steered clear of Cook. He's not a leader, not to mention his low completion percentage, only completing 58% of his passes at MSU.vball10set;1794284 wrote:^^^ why the love affair with Cook? I'm not high on Cook at all. I just think he has a higher ceiling than Kessler and I think that's what you try and target with these mid to late round picks.vball10set;1794284 wrote:^^^ why the love affair with Cook? Agree that he's a dbag. I'm loving knowing how pissed he was last night when he wasn't taken before the last day of the draft lol. -
SportsAndLadyJoe Schoebert is the pick from Wisconsin. Then trade the 100th pick to Oakland.

Hue is in love with kesslers accuracy. You don't need the strongest arm if you have pin point accuracy. Hue even came out and said its his pick. So we shall see how it pans outSportsAndLady;1794290 wrote:I'm not high on Cook at all. For 2 more picks, 114 and 154.SportsAndLady;1794292 wrote:Joe Schoebert is the pick from Wisconsin. Then trade the 100th pick to Oakland. -

I wouldn't mind a RB at 114. Dixon or Howard could be nice players.wildcats20;1794294 wrote:For 2 more picks, 114 and 154. -
iclfan2A lot of "love" for Scoebert on Twitter. He was a walk on (as was nassib). Apparently we are picking high motor, high character guys this year.

This....I trust Hue on this guy having a shot to be a NFL QB, but I agree he would have been available later. I don't like the trade down 15 spots in the third round(and the 5th round ,too!) just to get an extra 4th. At some point you are sacrificing quality for quantity, and they passed on some quality talent by doing that.iclfan2;1794279 wrote:Decent article on why Hue took Kessler. like_thatIt's pretty clear to see what the Browns are looking for so far. Stop the run and pass rush. Where have we heard this before?
