Didn't hear about it until last night. Somebody told me about it. Contrary to your (and others) belief, I don't go looking for this type of shit.

Well unlike the Gordon rumors (which ended up being right smfh) I'm pretty confident the haden rumors are total BS. Although the way he's been playing not sure it matters.

I'd be completely floored if the Haden rumors were true. If they were, he's pulled one of the biggest snow jobs over the city in some time.

as i recall Aaron Rodgers was a first round pick and didnt play for at least 3 seasons

I fell for the Johnny "hype machine" when he was drafted and hoped for better but I don't see this guy being committed to any type of "team" philosophy. Like I said before, if he's Aaron Rodgers, you deal with the headaches but, at this point, I'm not sure he's even "Mr Rogers" as far as his playing ability goes.
    we have a winner

Do you mean like the Brown played Quinn , Couch, William Green, T-Rich, Winslow, Edwards, Kam Wimbley, Gerrard Warren, Weeden? how did that work out?

The Aaron Rodgers argument is always a great one because he was a 24th pick of a team that had their own pick. This means they were a playoff team. It's very, very easy for a team in that situation to not play their first round pick. People act like Rodgers was a sure-fire stud starter who was ready day 1 out of college and who the coaching staff turned down the temptation to play for 3 years.

Are you trying to make a point here? LOL. Makes no fuggin difference what happened with flops. You play your first round draft pick at quarterback. It's what you do. Is Bortles playing? Bridgewater? Carr? Winston? Mariota? Cueball wants to carry on with a 36 year old choke artist in the clutch who is 2-14 as a starter over the past 2 years.

Cueball will be hard pressed to land a d coordinator gig next year.

Sounds like a good chance they will be without Haden (concussion) for a second week in a row.

Addition by subtraction based on Haden's play this season.

Was surprised to hear that some analyst said Mitchell Schwartz is "playing at a very high level." If JT's a first ballot HOFer, Bitonio's a "beast", Mack's a "perennial Pro Bowl center" and Schwartz is playing like that, why the FUCK can't they punch the GD ball in from the one on first & goal? Jesus...

The players you listed put in the time to learn the offense and are not trainwrecks off the field.

I first thought this as well, then I thought about it. Mack ain't the mack we saw last few seasons. He's not playing as well. Then Greco, he's avg at best. Pisses me off that Erving can't take that spot from him. Then I think about our shrimps at WR trying to block. After watching them block on WR screens, I can tell you they cant block shit. All that, plus teams not respecting our passing game, equals shitty running game.

so you believe the Browns should play another first round flop.

I think the Browns win something like 30-20 and keep the McCown train going...which I feel is unfortunate

"I say we let him go".....

All this shit reminds me of Pee Wee slammed on the pool table in the biker bar.

    Cueing Gardens.

I think the Browns will be hard pressed to stay on the field with the Rams this week.

Rams are an average team...no reason it shouldn't be a competitive game.

It's the Browns, not the steelers.

Also the dude who was starting when Rodgers was drafted was pretty decent, too.

I don't think Mack is fully recovered plus I think he kinda already has one foot out the door.

Agree on Erving. It's always good to have O-Line depth but it pisses me off that it seems like Farmer made that pick in anticipation of Mack bolting in FA and he can't even crack the starting lineup?

Unless you're a potential franchise QB, sitting & learning behind a seasoned vet, you should be starting if you're a 1st rounder.

the Browns are so worried about you figuring out their cards, they wind up putting certain players in the wrong position.
    Fire them all Jimmy.

This is what happens when you hand over your team over to guys that really cut their teeth on the High school football level as Pettine/O'Neil did. Mike Sr. is the only Pettine in the family with any talent, and he has been retired for years now.

Can anyone name any great defense that was wildly pre-occupied with playing games out there instead of just enforcing their will on you?

That passive bullshit reactive approach is a loser mentality. Go out there and force the issue making other teams have to adjust to what you're doing. Be proactive for once and good things will happen.

Pettine: we've been running these calls since before Cleveland. This is day one install stuff # 3Browns # Browns @ wkyc
Pettine led defenses against the run the past 4 years (3 different teams):

    2012: 26th
    2013: 28th
    2014: 32nd
    2015: 32nd

His arrogance will end up being his demise. He is either unable or unwilling to accept his "system" isn't working no matter what group of personnel he has access to.

When you keep failing no matter where you are chances are pretty good it might be you that is the problem.

Mike just can't seem to bear the thought he's not the genius he thinks he is.

    At this point I don't think it's a talent problem I think it's a scheme/coaching problem
