Hoping Harvey pitches 15 more innings this post season and then flourishes the next few years.

Maybe the babying of the young arms would cease a bit

    Oh that was awesome!

Cannot believe Lagares isn't in CF, Cespedes in LF and Conforto DH

On the way to the ballpark Edinson Volquez found out his dad passed away this afternoon.

    Holy Hell

Don't really have anything to ad, just felt bad for I-92 having to talk to himself. Go Royals.

    But just insane.

Not an excuse, but this stuff happens.

We lost power to the A-Unit at the Belmont Stakes during rehearsal (8:30am-11am). Lasted about 20 minutes. Generator blew in the main unit, and caused 5 of the other 7 trucks to also lose power.

Could just as easily happened during our broadcast.

I believe you and understand you really understand this stuff.

    But it just cannot happen.

I mean, I agree. But at the same time, what can you do when a generator blows???

Doesn't seem to happen ever in championship games/series. I think that's what iron man is saying. That it should be preventable.

Right, but it's all a % game. It happens often enough in TV, but the number of games the country is all watching is so insignificant that it isn't made a huge deal of. There isn't really an alternative.

Does it happen to new generators?

Has more to do with the amount of stuff they are powering. Weather in the 60s at the time, so AC was probably blasting as well.

Lol....just be hot so millions can watch tv

Lol. Walk into most TV trucks and you see jackets and hats being worn when it's 90 out. The equipment can't overheat or you'll start an electrical fire. So the trucks have to stay around 60 degrees, which means constant AC pumping out of vents onto people/machines.

Let me ask you this and I'll be done.

Do you think anyone got their assed ripped over last night's game not being able to be televised for several minutes and having to halt the game because replay could not be used because FOX lost power?

That just added to the greatness of the night, especially when they went to the studio and everyone there seemed like they'd been getting wasted because they weren't expecting to be on the air anytime soon.

The older dude just staring at the TV and stumbling over how he heard they'd lost the feed, followed by Dontrelle Willis babbling inanely for a couple minutes, followed by the line about "I think I'm hearing our music which means we might be going back. Are we going back?" -- immediate cut back to stadium.
