deGrom's performance has nothing to do with how Kershaw performedIggyPride00;1756144 wrote:How many runs has deGrom given up?
Mattingly should not have pulled him with the righty he got all night up
At the time of your post last night Kershaw had been quite impressive....deGrom was even better -
HereticWhat a surprise. Another sporting event Iqqy posts about just to show everyone how miserable he is. "Oh, this player isn't clutch!" "Oh, these playoffs are so bad!" "Oh, this team doesn't belong here because I don't like how their owner operates!".
Then don't watch them or waste our time with your whining here. No one cares about what minor facet of the game has gotten sand in your vagina and ruined all of life for you this time. -

If I92 would stop quoting him, the rest of us who have him on ignore would never see his garbage.Heretic;1756159 wrote:What a surprise. Ironman92Oh I have him blocked but every now and then my curiosity gets the best of me

Ironman92Please please please address the sliding into 2nd before careers are taken. My god

I agree! Its the same thing as the home plate collisions, if they'd enforce the rule on the books there wouldn't have been the need for the new rule. They need to slide into the base, not go 8' past and not even be down when they get to the base. Just ridiculous what they allow. They even admitted they were not going to enforce the neighborhood play by not allowing a review on a force at 2nd, unless it was a question of the throw drawing them off the base(which not the question in this case). This one should not have been reviewed, unless to see if the runner did not slide into the base.Ironman92;1756302 wrote:Please please please address the sliding into 2nd before careers are taken. Just saw that one. How nice, another "legal" baseball play that should be considered dirty as fuck. And that one was blatant as hell, too. Umps totally blew it by invoking the "neighborhood" rule to help the Dodgers, too. Basically rewards Utley for intentionally taking out another player.Ironman92;1756302 wrote:Please please please address the sliding into 2nd before careers are taken. My god -
Ironman92Sliding player must target the bag

Classyposter58Keuchel might carry the Astros to a WS. Him combined with that D just looks like a pennant winner
-
HereticUtley suspended for two games and appealing.
Essentially, you can easily get the idea MLB doesn't want their playoffs to feature a beanball followed by a long bench-clearing brawl, so they're trying to eliminate Utley from taking the field in New York, but it's still nice to see that take-out slides are being looked at more closely. What he did had no pretense of being a slide, more of a direct assault of Tejada's leg. -
HereticDang, Houston had KC eliminated until their bullpen completely imploded in the eighth inning. Went from a 6-2 lead to trailing 6-7 with two outs and runners still on second and third.
-
MulvaCorrea the hero at the plate and the goat in the field.
-
Ironman92I don't know what the hell John Gibbons is doing. David Price pitched on Thursday and he bring him in a 7-1 game with 2 outs in the 5th?????? Game 5 is Wednesday and he could be completely rested for the start.
I don't know what the hell I'm watching. SMH -
SportsAndLadyCubs young guys stepping up. Prob a bad idea betting against Arrieta. Did get the O/U correct though. Wind is blowing so hard it was almost a guarantee.
-
Ironman92Wind or not....what Jason Heyward did was crazy. Took a pitch 8 inches off the plate for an oppo HR against Arrieta....wow
-
supermanSoler still hasn't made an out.
-
SnotBubblesIf you'd have told me, prior to the season, that the 97 win Cubs would be 1 win away from the NLCS, I would have told you to "get the fuck out." I know that no one cares on this board, but I expected another year before competing for the playoffs and another 2-3 years before being competitive in the playoffs.
Regardless of whether or not they win this series; this group of ball players has shocked even Cubs fans.
6 home runs from your 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 hitters? Damn. -
Classyposter58A Cubs/Mets NLCS would be awesome. Obviously LA and STL have great fan bases but those stadiums last night sounded like they were going to explode

Ironman92Here come the Cards on their last leg....watch their magic

Hope so.Ironman92;1756908 wrote:Here come the Cards on their last leg....watch their magic
But wait I hate the cardinals.
I'm so emotionally torn -
MulvaHappy for the Cubs. And happy that the Cards can go fuck themselves.
-
Ironman92This call is going to be gigantic....series deciding
-
Ironman92I hope this doesn't decide the series....holy hell
-
MulvaThat throw by Moreland was almost as bad as Martin's. Rangers imploding.
-
MulvaThis is unbelievable.
