When players like Mike Scott, Dion waiters, Steve Blake, and many more garbage players are getting more FTs than Lebron there is a problem.
You actually are expecting a perfect game. The NBA doesn't call every foul; they attempt to control the game from getting out of hand and giving an entertaining game on the floor. If the refs called every foul consistent across all aspects, the games would last twice as long and we'd see a lot of boring free throws and a lot of players fouling out.

It's one of the reasons Golden State is fun to watch; the refs let them get away with obvious moving screens on almost every play, only occasionally calling the foul. If they called it every time, everyone would foul out and the shots wouldn't fall.

No actually I don't. I literally just explained where I would like to see an improvement, but please tell me more about what I want.

So you would be okay with every game lasting 4 hours and every player getting fouled out? This is what you want in reality because that's the only way to be consistent.

That's not what would happen nor is that only option. Christ you're turning into quite the dumbass drama queen.

That's exactly what would happen if you "kept it consistent". Slower pace games and star players fouling out; that's the reality.

Again, the NBA chooses to stick on the side of keeping a smooth, entertaining product instead of watching of free throws and bench players finish games. I think they do a great job but keep circle jerking the "refs suck" mantra and hoping for a product that no one would enjoy.

This is the reality. To say otherwise is ignoring reality. Please tell me more about how your fantasy land would work.

Umm no, maybe players would foul less? Nice fail dipshit

You're confusing consistency with calling every ticky tacky foul by the book.

Add a 4th referee for final 20 games, and in playoffs. 8 eyes on 10 people would be better.

They would foul more. Part of your desire they be consistent requires them to call more fouls.

You bitch when they call too many fouls and you bitch when they don't call enough fouls. Please tell me more about how you know better than NBA professional referees.

In non-reffing news...just watched Byron Scott on ESPN 2, and he said he felt blind sided by the firing by the Lakers.

    LOL WUT?!?! How?!?!

Hardly. The consistency you want would lead to more fouls. It's like the NFL; every play there is holding but the refs barely call it. Same with the NBA; you can call fouls on just about any contact and justify it so if you want consistency, you're asking for more fouls.

There's a balance and the refs do a fine job of holding that balance. Just because they swallowed the whistle in the final seconds of a close playoff game doesn't mean they are garbage.

Maybe because he was given a shit team that cared more about Kobe's feels than actually winning and Byron just happened to be the coach in that environment.

He was supposedly told he would be given 2-3 years.

Had a chance to get Luke Walton, pretty much what happened I'd assume.

Well he was given 2 years and went 38-126 in those 2 years lol. But now was the best time to fire him as the team should get better without Kobe and they really wanted Luke Walton and he was ready to come now.

Byron Scott is a terrible, terrible coach. He was atrocious with the cavs. If the solution to a problem wasn't "stand on the sideline with arms folded", there was no solution forthcoming.

Oh he's horrible, no doubt about it. I believe he has the worst winning percentage of any coach of all time.

He does...which leads me back to...how could you EVER be blind-sided when you are literally the worst coach ever in the NBA? Sure he was told 2-3 year plan...but gotta assume they expected you to be competent? Competitive? Not be a drama-filled train wreck laughing stock?

I believe there is some qualification to that, like "that has coached over 1,000 games".

And yet, I wouldn't surprised for him to have another gig next season.

    Houston wouldn't surprise me.

So what's the thought on Lowry? Is it the elbow, or does he have the yips?
  • SportsAndLady
How's D Wade making these 3's? He hit like 2 this year
  • Benny The Jet
I hate NBA playoff scheduling. How do Spurs and OKC and Warriors and Portland get 3 days off? That's dumb.
