IliketurtlesJust incredible. I thought he was going to lose it out of bounds. Then half court off balance heave and swish.
-
friendfromlowrySMH Toronto fans. What else do you guys have to do?
-
Midstate01No way that ball hit the rim. I never saw an angle that showed it. Spin never changed.

What would you propose as a better solution? It's impossible to ref a perfect game and you are going to miss calls. Refs have always tended to swallow their whistle at the end of games so that's the only change I would make; tell refs to blow the whistle in tight games instead of letting them play.Benny The Jet;1794675 wrote:NBA admits to 5 incorrect calls at end of Thunder/Spurs game. vdubb96I want to punch Draymond Green in the face. That is all.

There's a big difference in letting them play and blatantly missing an inbounder elbow a defender.sleeper;1794737 wrote:What would you propose as a better solution? Yeah but mistakes happen. What is your plan to make referee'ing in the NBA better?wildcats20;1794743 wrote:There's a big difference in letting them play and blatantly missing an inbounder elbow a defender.
I guess its fun to bitch and complain but mistakes are going to happen. I think overall they do a good job in the NBA. -

It was either this thread or the cavs thread where Lowry was being ranked ahead of kyrie.sleeper;1794738 wrote:When was Lowry ever ahead of Kyrie? -

I think they are garbage and they can start by getting rid of their old ass refs who can hardly move.sleeper;1794746 wrote:Yeah but mistakes happen. What is your plan to make referee'ing in the NBA better?

They need to be held to higher standards. It seems like a lot of these guys get tenure and don't want to improve their officiating. They rather be right than get the right call. -

Would love to see that as it happened and then the ensuing 30 seconds.vdubb96;1794739 wrote:I want to punch Draymond Green in the face. That is all. -

Oh so you want to get rid of the referee union? Good luck.like_that;1794748 wrote:I think they are garbage and they can start by getting rid of their old ass refs who can hardly move.

Never said that as I know that is unrealistic. Something needs to be changed, because they are garbage at best. I'm not the expert to make those changes, but it's pretty clear they need to be made if you have watched the NBA playoffs the last 5 years.sleeper;1794752 wrote:Oh so you want to get rid of the referee union? We don't need to have solutions to notice that the officiating sucks ass. -

Oh so you just want to bitch about it and expect the problem to be solved by simply clearing house of experienced refs and bringing in a bunch of rookies?like_that;1794753 wrote:Never said that as I know that is unrealistic. I don't think its that bad overall. Yes the OKC Spurs ending was a disaster, but that is just an outlier. People tend to focus on the mistakes rather than when they normally do a good job. -

It would take longer than 30 secs for him to get back up!!!!Ironman92;1794751 wrote:Would love to see that as it happened and then the ensuing 30 seconds. -

Cost the Cavs a Championship last season. See the bogus BS non call on LBJ game 1.sleeper;1794755 wrote:Oh so you just want to bitch about it and expect the problem to be solved by simply clearing house of experienced refs and bringing in a bunch of rookies?

Anyone find it pretty obvious that sleeper doesn't watch the NBA? Sadly, that horrible end to the Spurs/OKC game is hardly an outlier. -

Pretty much this. Sleeper is taking one of his hot take argument formulas (they all pretty much follow the same flow chart if you pay attention) and trying to apply it to people complaining about refs. When you prove him wrong he will circle back to his crutch by asking "what is your solution," because apparently we all are getting paid the big bucks to fix NBA officiating. Predictable sleeper is predictable.Commander of Awesome;1794776 wrote:

Continue your "refs are bad" circle jerk. -

Pointing out a problem without providing a solution is for poor people. It's not a crutch, its reality. The NBA certainly wants to protect the integrity of game but also is aware of the reality that no ref is going to coach a perfect game.like_that;1794779 wrote:Pretty much this. Nobody is expecting a perfect game, but they can start with consistency. JR gets a flagrant for boxing out and inadvertently hitting Milsap in the face with his elbow. Meanwhile Drummond threw the people's elbow at Lebron's throat and got nothing.sleeper;1794782 wrote:Pointing out a problem without providing a solution is for poor people. When players like Mike Scott, Dion waiters, Steve Blake, and many more garbage players are getting more FTs than Lebron there is a problem.
