Cleveland Browns Offseason Talk

Browns are still chasing free agents
Posted by Mike Florio on March 8, 2010 1:03 PM ET

With the signing of tackle Tony Pashos and linebacker Scott Fujita, the Browns hardly are finished with free agency.

Next up? Tight end Benjamin Watson.

Per a league source, Watson has a visit scheduled with the Browns on Wednesday. Watson, as we reported Friday, is meeting Monday with the Seahawks.

Watson has a connection to the Browns -- head coach Eric Mangini was an assistant in New England during a portion of Watson's tenure with the Patriots.

29 is not ancient. He would be a major upgrade over any other TE on the roster, so I am all for it.

Didn't realize he was 29. Seems like he's been around forever.

    It does.

watson's only 29? i'd take him. any word on what kind of price he's looking for?

I loved Watson coming out of college. He would be a very solid pick up!

I guess for Cleveland you can call them ''good signings''.
What the fuck has Pittsburgh done this off season? You are one ignorant fuck!
Pittsburgh signed 5 players today asshole. I wont call you ignorant though. You're just a stupid fuck!!!

Lets quit with the personal attacks....stay on point.

You know what, I find Al's "personal attacks" less offensive than the simple fact that he is obviously trolling on a Browns thread.

If you want to flex some mod muscles, get him for trolling. That seems to be a direct violation of almost any forum's protocols.

Filed to ESPN: Seattle traded QB/WR Seneca Wallace to the Cleveland Browns. No compensation known yet. Wallce reunited with Holmgren.

    I'm not surprised

Looks like quinn could be our starter? I still expect to take a QB in the middle rounds of the draft.
  • buckeyes_woowee
I highly doubt Quinn starts over Wallace

    Let's hope not.
  • buckeyes_woowee
People forget that Wallace had significant playing time in 2008 and really didn't play bad
  • BR1986FB
Will be interested to see Wallace lined up next to Cribbs in the Wildcat. Still hoping we acquire a starter and Quinn & DA are sent packing.
  • wes_mantooth
    I don't get this deal...

Wallace is not a starting QB and I gotta think they will keep Quinn because of his contract.
  • BR1986FB
The talks with Philly aren't dead but they are on life support.

Wallace hasn't played a down for the Browns yet and I already like him (watch closely)....

  • ytownfootball
    Seneca fuckin' Walace....SMH

I am not thrilled with that pick up.
  • BR1986FB
I still think they are trying to pry McNabb from Philly. I will be one pissed off m-fer if I have to watch Noodle Arm quarterback this team again in 2010. I had a gleam of hope but if we're stuck with #10, we're going nowhere.
  • buckeyes_woowee
I kinda like the move! He is better then Anderson and Quinn. He has been waiting for his chance to be a starter
  • ytownfootball
From what I've seen it looks like Philly is willing to go into the season with three (potential starters) QB's in camp. That seems odd to me. Of the three, McNabb seems the most likely candidate to be let go but Reid appears to not want to let it happen. It's a business Andy, his time in Philly is done.
  • DeyDurkie5
Do we know what we gave up for him? Sorry if it's been answered, I haven't researched it enough
  • ytownfootball
You don't have to be very good to be better than DA or Quinn, that's not saying a whole hell of a lot.
