Exactly. The spent 3 firsts, and 2 seconds to move up 4 spots for an injury prone system QB? LOL

To be honest, our trade with the Jets was ALMOST as bad. We trade back 12 spots(5 to 17) for a bunch of scrub filler guys and a 2nd round draft pick. Fucking bad.

Yup, that was dumbass womangini for you. He could have fleeced the jets, but he was a ***** that wanted his vets!!!

    Frank Gore isn't black?

Very interesting. Never really put much thought into what type of impact this could have on QB salaries....

Pretty much my first thought. Or maybe he's like Russell Wilson and he isn't "black enough" for Stephen A.

Def been a rough recent 2 years as a redskins fan that's for sure Haha. I think the reduced cap for the skins hurt just as much. Hopefully they can rebound this year, still not ready to give up on RG3

A top flight QB in their prime would probably reach this amount, maybe tweak the details with more guarenteed $$ Cowherd was talking that most execs look at the guarenteed $$ and the yearly salaryuntil the player is 30 as the true value of the deal as by then many times you are looking to cut a guy. What QB's would be worth that sort of deal? Luck maybe.......the other elite are too old to demand a lengthy contract like that.

They just gave too many picks for him. Higher draft picks are like gold. Free agents can be too pricey, and giving up very high picks just can kill the depth of a squad.

Unless Luck takes a discount to help the team, I fully expect 7 years at 150+ with almost 100 guaranteed. Russ Wilson will come in at 7 for 130, 75 Guaranteed (Barring Discount)

That was just a function of John Idzik being an absolute horse-abortion of a GM.

Ratbirds another possibility to replace Torrey Smith. They have a history getting this kind of guy.

I thought he'd be a perfect fit for the Bengals at first glance

He wants to play with a top QB for the first time in his career.

So, the browns with manzell would be the perfect fit.

If the browns would only announce him as the starter going forward then I think that brings in guys wanting to play with him

Most NFL players aren't stupid. They aren't gonna be beating the door down for a guy with questionable intelligence, Football IQ, Maturity, and Arm Talent. Regardless of how much "Swag" he is.
