Pete Carroll you are dumb

  • Spock
why would you pass the ball?
  • Automatik
    Fire him.
  • Automatik
Seriously you have Lynch. Fire him. Fucking idiot.

Pete Carroll has nothing to do with the offense, it's Bevell that should go, and I hate Carroll.

That was the worst play call in the history of football.

Absolutely no doubt about that. Throwing a pass was the last thing I thought they would do.

Reminds me of when OSU threw for the homerun TD against Alabama when they should have just worked the clock. I know different situations as Seattle had to score, but just an example of over-thinking and going away from a running back that has been getting it done.

Even the Browns would be hard pressed to screw up worse than that, and we have the worst Head Coach in the NFL on the sideline. Unbelievable how stupid that was.

The Seahawks forum is in complete melt down mode right now.

You might be the only person on planet earth that thinks this.

    Happy for Gronk though.

I've not seen a more idiotic play call in my 35 years watching this game.
  • reclegend22
He looked utterly spooked when attempting to explain the call in the postgame interview. He knows that he royally fucked up. That was one of the most painful interviews I've ever witnessed, and I hate Seattle. Carrroll seems like a likable guy, though, so I do feel for him on a certain level.

I can't even fathom the reasoning behind it, makes me think it's rigged.

If I was Lynch I would demand a trade this off-season.

If the franchise thinks that little of me that they didn't think I could get 1 yard on 3 tries I would demand to be traded somewhere they would appreciate me.

That was a vote of no confidence if I have ever seen one.

Highly likely that is the last super bowl Seattle plays in.

The Patriots might have just let them run it in so they could get the ball back with some time left...

Nope. Belichek let like 30 seconds run off the clock after the first play at a minute to go. They were going to live and die on the goal line. If they were going to let him score they would have called timeout to try and keep some time on the clock.

    rigged? lol

And now Petey is taking blame saying it was himself who called the play.

He wouldn't get 3 tries. 18 seconds left with only one time out. Do the math. If Lynch runs the ball on second down and doesn't get in, then Seattle is forced to call their last time out and then has to throw it on both third and fourth down.

    I

At least then it would've made sense to throw it.

I have no problem with throwing the ball on second and goal. An incomplete pass gives you a run/pass option on third and goal. If that play works, nobody would complain about the play call. That rookie from New England made an incredible read and an incredible play. If anyone is to blame it should be Wilson...not Carroll. Also, how dumb was Carroll at the end of the first half? A genius move, call and execution that 90% of coaches would not have made.

They had timeouts, so they had that option no matter what..
