Kanter has been excellent and really taking advantage of his touches.HighRoller74;1715962 wrote:I've been surprised at how good Kanter has been in OKC, but Gobert's length is insane. -
Commander of AwesomeGoing to OT!!

Commander of AwesomeAnyone watching this philly/Sac game? Pretty good so far, saw Andre Miller break ankles only to watch Cousins fuck it up.

Commander of Awesome6ers/kings was actually a pretty entertaining game. Nice to see the 6ers not getting blown out of the building. Be interesting to see how they due going forward with the worst backcourt I've seen in the NBA in quite some time.

Ironman92Austin Rivers 21 pts on 9/10 FG

Azubuike24Nerlens Noel playing quite well lately. The Sixers have actually surprised me a bit this year, considering their roster. Excited to see what the draft brings. Not sold they will contend in 2 years, but in the East they could have a similar rise to what Washington did. By year 3 or 4 after a few good drafts, they are a mid-pack playoff team.

They have the 3rd worst record in the NBA and they've surprised you in a positive way. CmonAzubuike24;1716367 wrote:Nerlens Noel playing quite well lately. I think we can all see through his faintly veiled attempt to find a reason to slob on Noel's knob. I don't think any reasonable person can say the 76ers have surprised them with a straight face. Any "numbers" put up on that team are greatly inflated by the fact they're, well, the 76ers and have maybe 4 NBA players on their roster.Midstate01;1716518 wrote:They have the 3rd worst record in the NBA and they've surprised you in a positive way. Azubuike24I'm a Sixers fan, always will be, and many talked early in the year they wouldn't hit double digit wins. They have 18 already. Everyone knew they would be there for the #1 pick...
As for Noel, the last 2 months he's averaging like 12, 10 and over 2 steals a game.
New Orleans sucked in Anthony Davis' rookie year and he averaged 13/8 with decent steals and blocks. Not saying Noel is Davis or WILL BE Davis, but he's playing well. Better than people expected considering that draft was garbage. -
Azubuike24Go back to the first 10 pages of this thread during the first month. People wondered just how awful Philly would be. I doubt many predicted 20 wins.

lhslep134And I don't think what they've done is any sort of accomplishment that warrants being surprised but that's just me. For something in the NBA to surprise me is a decently high threshold to hit. Something like the Warriors being 1st in defensive efficiency surprises me. 76ers being slightly more competent than preseason expectations doesn't meet that standard.
I was joking about the Noel part, I know you're a 76ers fan. -

How is that a high threshold? They were 3rd last year.lhslep134;1716546 wrote:For something in the NBA to surprise me is a decently high threshold to hit. Something like the Warriors being 1st in defensive efficiency surprises me. -

They're 1st in defensive efficiency and pace. That's f*cking absurd.Mulva;1716560 wrote:How is that a high threshold? They were 3rd last year. -

Ironman9225 years ago today some guy called MJ had 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.....also chipped in with 69 points.
Not too shabby for a regulation game. -

How did he account for 110? 69 + 18 = 87 max.Ironman92;1716873 wrote:25 years ago today some guy called MJ had 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals.....also chipped in with 69 points.
Accounted for 110 points of the Bulls 117 points. Regulation game. -
