In the end, I think it comes down to LBJ and Curry.
Yeah Westbrook for sure. However if he doesn't miss another game, he'll only have played 67 games. That'd be the fewest games an MVP has played since Bill Walton won it.

    For me it's

    Curry/LBJ/Marc Gasol/Harden/Westbrook

MVP as of now to me is James harden... Got the rockets in 3rd place in the west with much bless talent then curry is playing with on GSW
  • Mulva
The rockets are in 3rd, but they're as close to being the 8 seed as they are to the Warriors.

Curry has more talent around him, but the Warriors have won more than the Rockets, too. Its not like Harden is getting equal results with less talent.
  • gport_tennis
I wouldn't be upset if Curry won MVP, I just think Harden has been better overall (slightly) and more valuable to his team. If curry and Harden flipped teams I think Warriors would be just as good and I don't think the rockets would be as good. They are really close in my eyes right now though for sure, just giving a slight edge to harden

Disagree with you regarding switching teams. GSW have a great SG already, who plays better defense. I think switching Harden and Klay is a better argument, but think GSW would be worse. Curry makes GSW go, and the Rockets would be better with Curry over Harden. Can't make 1 decent argument for Harden over Curry IMO.

    Curry > Harden

This isn't even a debate. Harden has never put a team on his back and carried them to the #1 spot.

Steph Curry is far from carrying that team.

Really besides Klay there's no one else worth a damn on that team. Harden is putting his team on his back to carry them to the #3 spot in the West with a 2nd round at best playoff victory; Curry is putting his team on his back while leading them to the #1 spot in the West with an at worst NBA finals appearance.

The comparison is laughable. Curry > Harden

    1. Harden
    2. Curry
    3. LeBron
    4. AD (if voting today)
    5. Marc Gasol
    6. RW

I think Curry and Harden have similar roles regardless of position labels. On offense, the ball is in both of theirs hands a whole lot more than the other guards on the team. Their states are really similiar honestly, Harden scores more, rebounds better, and gets to the free throw line more than 2x as often as curry. I'm a huge fan of guys that put the other team in foul trouble. As great as Steph is at shooting 3's, his 3PM % is only 1% better than James Harden

LOL, now thats something thats laughable. Harrison Barnes, Draymond Green, Andrew Igodoula, Bogut, David Lee and even Maurice Speights are all very important to that team.

Curry and Harden are both in the 3-10 range for best players in the NBA, I personally put Harden slightly ahead of Curry, but I could see why some would like Curry better. Either way its def a valid comparison.

Yeah Draymond's not worth a damn...

The NBA is the only topic on here for which I unequivocally disregard your opinion. You clearly have no idea what you're typing.

There are plenty of talented players on that GSW team.

Derrick Rose had knee pain so he got an MRI and it revealed a meniscus tear that will require surgery.
  • Laley23
Derrick Rose to undergo surgery for a torn meniscus.

    Solid Point.

Did Derrick rose do something horrible in a past life? Good god
  • Laley23
I'm pretty sure we all nailed this. Who didn't predict another knee injury for him??
  • Lovejoy1984
Just like Grant Hill, Penny, and Gilbert Arenas.

Just something with their bodies where either they don't heal right or something.

Rose is FREAK athlete, just like Courtney Brown, Lavar Arrington, Bo Jackson, Clowney, etc.. that just don't seem able to stay healthy. Never vetted my theory, but I've always thought at some point the human body can only take so big/strong/fast before it breaks down. There are obv exceptions.

LOL. Bogut? Perpetually injured. Lee? Old man winter. Igodula? This isn't 2005.
