I see what you're saying, but I don't think offenses need any more of an advantage than the already have.Fly4Fun;1699100 wrote:So this whole deal with the deflated footballs is about competitive balance, right? If withing the current rules both teams have their own set of footballs, why not jist let eacj team do with them as they please air pressure as long as it still maintains the shape of an inflated football. This way both teams have the ball that best suits their QBs preference so there is no concern about one having an advantage. -

This will quietly be swept under the rug, "NOTHING TO SEE HERE".
If it were the browns dumbfuck goodell would move the browns. -
se-alumTony Dungy ‏@TonyDungy 9m9 minutes ago Jim Miller was definitely correct about Nate Solder's TD. Definitely an illegal formation. Officials should have called it back for penalty.
Shocked it wasn't called! -
Ironman92Who does all this mess benefit? Distraction typically favor the team not involved.
I'm not sure if Seattle dominates or if Pats play lights out in us against the world. -

No blow out, either way. This is going to be a close game. Since 2000, every Super Bowl that the Pats played in, have been close games.Ironman92;1699171 wrote:Who does all this mess benefit? Distraction typically favor the team not involved.

I feel that regardless who wins that NE will still be the talk....especially a lopsided loss by the Pats. A lopsided Pats loss and the media may wear it out and the Pats will drop from greatness. -

The Pats do get a lot of attention, good and bad. Then again if Seattle repeats, that will get good attention, because it has not been done for a while.Ironman92;1699197 wrote:True, very true..

I just believe sports talk will push the demise of the Pats.wghfan;1699198 wrote:The Pats do get a lot of attention, good and bad. Then again if Seattle repeats, that will get good attention, because it has not been done for a while.
I'm very interested in this game....I hate the non-talk about the game.....but am awaiting Marshawn's mandatory press access for a few days next week. He might be out a few hundred thousand. -

Maybe he might develop the flu, and say he can't make it thereIronman92;1699199 wrote:I just believe sports talk will push the demise of the Pats.

I strongly disagree. The compound does not care what is said outside of their walls. Every Bellichick presser is him trolling the media with blandness.Ironman92;1699199 wrote:I just believe sports talk will push the demise of the Pats. -

They already tried early in the season, and they failed miserably.Ironman92;1699199 wrote:I just believe sports talk will push the demise of the Pats.

Still think they'll really push it. They'll want to talk about the Pats more than the Seahawks about 24 hrs after the Seahawks win (if they do)like_that;1699282 wrote:They already tried early in the season, and they failed miserably. -

It obviously will have no effect on the Pats. LOL at media (or anyone else for that matter) thinking they have enough power to bring a team down.Ironman92;1699286 wrote:Still think they'll really push it. Yeah, the Legion of Boom can bring the Pats down (at least for one game), but all the media will do is induce another week of hilarious passive-aggressive responses from Beli and Brady.like_that;1699295 wrote:It obviously will have no effect on the Pats. HitsRusBelichick called a press conference to say that they've conducted their own internal investigation, and nobody knows a f 'ing thing about how the air got out of those footballs.

Ironman92Back in the vbookie days I would have about 50 props to bet on to try to make this game interesting....
It was better last year than the year before....but 2013 was the most embarrassing sporting thing I have ever watched on TV. -
IliketurtlesI still like watching the pro bowl but I know I'm in a huge minority. Will be pretty cool this year as a Cowboys fan since they are all on the same team. I do have $20 on the over of 68 lol.

Yeah I figured maybe that would change back to normal this year lol. Last year was the first time I ever lost money betting the over.Ironman92;1699692 wrote:Lower scoring last year wasn't it? -
Ironman92Brown won that battle with Haden....they've met

Ironman92Kickers have to be pissed lol. Game is easier for everyone else and they move back the XP 15 yards and FG posts are 4 feet narrower, but looks like more

Ironman92Having these rules at the end of each quarter it's really dumb to change the goal posts
