Reds @ Pirates...Game 1

Ironman92Let's take 2/3 and jump the Buccos
Assuming Sean Casey and George Grande are doing the series. -
Ironman92Here are my thread starts on the season (10-8)
Reds score 4.78 runs per game on my threads and 3.28 per game when I don't.
Reds allow 3.74 runs on my starts and 3.75 on all others

Let's not and just get Polanco'd for a couple losses.Ironman92;1626456 wrote:Let's take 2/3 and jump the Buccos -
thavoiceWith the 13 run outburst on Sunday that is what they usually get in like 5 games.
So look for about 5 straight shutouts -
Ironman92
As a baseball fan I'm excited to watch him....looks Dexter Fowler/Cameron MaybinHeretic;1626665 wrote:Let's not and just get Polanco'd for a couple losses.
Young studs seem to do well the first go around against the Reds. Hopefully he doesn't imitate Starlin Castro -

RotinajWell since Cueto is pitching its a guaranteed 1-0 or 2-1 loss.

Is this game on vbookie? I'll put all of my vcash on a Reds loss because you're exactly right. They won't score more than 6 runs total this series after scoring 13.Rotinaj;1627164 wrote:Well since Cueto is pitching its a guaranteed 1-0 or 2-1 loss. -
Ironman92Pirates pitcher has a 6 ERA....so it doesn't look promising

Ironman92Has there ever been a more athletic OF than Marte, Cutch and Polanco?

Cumpton's more "meh" than bad, but only has six starts and one of them was just horrible (11R, 10 earned in 3.2), so his ERA is super high. Take that start out and, if I remember how to calculate ERA, it's 3.72.Ironman92;1627186 wrote:Pirates pitcher has a 6 ERA....so it doesn't look promising
I mean, with Cueto going for you guys, he's going to have to pitch more like an 0.72 guy, but that's just part of that hit show: When Starting Rotations Crumble. I don't think having Cumpton, Locke and Worley in the rotation at the same time was part of the team's plans for this year. -

Azubuike24One game-winning double too late...

mhs95_06Good article on Arroyo's streak ending. He's not discounting Tommy John.

I really enjoyed watching him trying to navigate a batting order. He was really in trouble when they stacked it with lefties, or when the batters would focus and not try to pound the ball somewhere. -
wildcats20Billy is a damn beast.
-
mhs95_06Johnny's night is probably done now with 119 pitches thru 6 innings, leaving with a 1 run lead. Can the bullpen hold the lead for 3 innings? Need some insurance runs!
-
mhs95_06Reds get insurance in the 7th. Billy 3/3 with a perfect push bunt off the lefty, 3 stolen bases, and 2 runs scored.
-
Azubuike24LeCure struggling big time. I mean, outside of Chapman and Broxton, does this team have any reliever who is rock solid in their role?
-
RotinajGoing to blow a 3 run lead. SHOCKER!!!!
-
Azubuike24WTF is Price doing?
Takes LeCure out for Parra and Ondrusek? I mean, the guy is TRYING to lose... -
Azubuike24I hardly ever got this upset at Dusty...that's saying something.
-
mhs95_06
I think he gave LeCure just the right amount of rope -- of the 5 batters he faced, 3 hits, one BB, and an out. Parra got his man and Harrison hit a tough pitch to tie it up. Parra and Ondrusek got two outs and let one of the two inherited runners score.Azubuike24;1627325 wrote:WTF is Price doing?

Did you watch the Saturday game vs Milwaukee? That exact combo also blew the game. Parra and Ondrusek are not late inning relievers. Get rid of them if you want to contend.mhs95_06;1627328 wrote:I think he gave LeCure just the right amount of rope -- of the 5 batters he faced, 3 hits, one BB, and an out.
