Cooperstown has called and Lonnie has donated his bat from last night to the Hall of Fame.
I'd tell them they can have it when I make an out, and then hope I don't break it lol

No shit. You would have to pry that bat out of my cold dead hands.
  • Laley23
lol...you can tell Hammy knows Brian Hoyers family.

I am at a bar in Columbus. For some reason, they have the Royals broadcast on. The Royals text poll question tonight:

'Besides division leading Detroit, which AL Central team poses the biggest threat to the Royals?' Like they have done anything in the last 20 years.

    Themselves was not a choice.

Tribe are going to lose this challenge. Should be an error on Cabby and will be bases loaded with 1 out. Could/should have been a double play ball.

    Ugly.

Damn it, Cabrera, that's a little league play...smfh
  • vball10set
Error, then Bourn gets fooled. Looks like the Tribe of two weeks ago.
  • Laley23
    Solid defense this inning.
  • vball10set
Santana, no stick, no glove....why is he in there again?

At least he got an out on his...

...and has a hit tonight! :D lol

Two double plays not turned this inning, 4 runs score as a result.
  • TBone14
Coincidentally (definitely not coincidentally), the defense had been much better during the hot streak. That inning looked like April/early May Indian baseball.

Big hole now but with the way they have been playing, they still have a shot.

I fully expected that ball to go off of Bourns glove for a HR the way that half inning played out... Good riddance to that defense.

I think Bourn shouldve caught the popup also, so that was 4 extra outs the Royals got that inning.

I expect them to score enough tonight to make this a game, but who knows how long Kluber can go now...
  • Laley23
Disregard my last statement. Kluber is at like 50 pitches through 4. Man, that guy has some really quick/efficient innings.
  • Laley23
    Walks...

    See you tomorrow afternoon folks.

    Well, here is the problem.

Called out on the reverse jinx.

Got your money. Just send me your picks for the Open. You don't need to fill out the sheet.

Tribe were due for a dud. Get back at it tomorrow.

3 for Tribe in the 8th and still hitting. These guys just keep you around for all 9 or more these days.

2:10 start today as Trevor Bauer takes the hill and will try to salvage a split in this short, 2 game series.

Lonnie Chisenhall had two more hits last nite, but no RBIs batting 7th in the order. Interestingly enough, with Asdrubal getting the day off, Chiz will hit in the 2 hole today.

Now batting .388 for the season...and after a 5 for 5, 9 RBI night batting in the 5 hole, why does Francona want Chiz hitting in a non RBI spot in the order? Is Jason Kipnis a clean up hitter? Is Carlos Santana hitting his weight?.... Just sayin'.

I like the way these guys battle, and hopefully this carries over to today.

Probably want's to keep Chiz away from too much pressure so that he can continue the hot streak. If he puts him at 3-4 he might over think and lose what he has going for him.
  • HitsRus
^^^he seemed to thrive at #5.
  • HitsRus
Tribe down 1-0 in the third...KC still batting.
  • Con_Alma
Tribe down 2-0 top of the fourth. Where's all of that offense????
