I agree. I think the Tribe are going to need a good number of runs tonight.

I haven't seen anything from House that has really impressed or excited me. A nice start overall vs the White Sox but he is just a soft tossing lefty trying to trick people and has to be perfect on location. If his command is off, he is basically throwing BP.

He reminds me of Jeremy Sowers--remember that guy???

Remember? I am still trying to forget.

I do remember he threw an absolute gem once. It was around Mother's or Father's Day perhaps. I remember they kept showing his family in the crowd. That was about it. I am going to try to find that game.

EDIT: Nevermind. I was maybe thinking of the back to back complete game shutouts he threw in July of 06, his rookie season. We were high on him then. That was the beginning of the end.

    He finished his rookie year 7-4. 2007- 1-7 2008- 4-9 2009- 6-11

Jeremy Sowers had a heck of a run the second half of his rookie season. Like, really good.

But yeah, he fooled us all...I guess it makes sense since the only way these guys ever have real success is when the hitters have not seen them before lol

    C'mon House!
  • vball10set
Well that's not a good start....let's turn two!

edit: and then he proceeds to hit the next batter on an 0-2 count
  • iclfan2
Lol can they turn 3? Ouch
  • iclfan2
    Got out of it. Nice

Ryan Rallykiller GIDP and wipes out what couldve been an even bigger inning. But Tribe up 3-0 after 1.

Does he have great numbers vs Peavy? I dont understand why he is in the lineup as a RH vs a RHP.
  • Laley23
Well, he is 3/12 lifetime with 2 HRs and 8 RBI versus Peavy. So I guess he has decent power...
  • vball10set
Damn it, let's not give them any back.
  • TBone14
Good start. Could have been better, though. They need to keep scoring. Three isn't winning tonight.

Escapes yet again, now let's tag a couple more on here.

House gets another DP. Living dangerously so far but all we care about is 0's on the scoreboard.
  • vball10set
House will be lucky to get through the 4th...
  • TBone14
House is throwing batting practice. This is what below replacement level pitching looks like. Getting outs is totally smoke and mirrors. Every ball is hit hard. Total luck. They could have 8 runs. He has the velocity of a guy who should be a crafty lefty but he isn't crafty at all.

Sox will start the 3rd time through the lineup here in the 5th. Big inning for Mr. House. I am expecting this game to be tied at best heading to the bottom of the 5th.
  • TBone14
What a play by House on the bunt! That is a tough, do or die play.

    I stand corrected.

Blind squirrel. Lucky that Holt gave him an out last inning by bunting. House had to make a great play but that changed the whole inning. And Papi hit a rope right at Bourn.

    Get the pen going.

As I type, Scrabble getting ready.
  • vball10set
Come on, pen, bear down here.
  • iclfan2
I don't see the point of pulling House there for scrabble.
  • Laley23
Peavy is doing what he does versus us.

Thank God we got 3 early...even if Raburn blew the chance for 5+
