HereticApparently someone had their number blocked by Pettine after the coach received roughly 8 calls a day telling him that if he couldn't find a way to help Farmer get a second top-5 pick for an assortment of scrap parts and then use two top 5 picks on JFF and Watkins, that he was a fucking miserable loser failure.
And now he's sulking. -
FootwedgeFarmer plus Pettine...what a pilé of rookie crap. Pettine in his brilliance sees no merit in drafting a quarterback at 4....and if the Browns do, he says the quarterback will sit. Apparently they forgot to inform him that this franchise hasn't had a quarterback in over 20 years. Idiot.

Lovejoy1984Its a pretty well regarded stance that none of these QB's will be ready to start day one.
Its usually smart to set your QB and let him watch unless he's a Peyton Manning/Andrew Luck type of player. If we take a QB 4, and he comes in and tears up mini-camp, and the preseason games, he will probably get the nod.
And, I know. I'm just feeding the troll. -

The guy who won last year's super bowl started from day 1. And BTW, he wasn't listed as a "cant miss" guy either given that he was selected in the third round.HighRoller74;1611378 wrote:Its a pretty well regarded stance that none of these QB's will be ready to start day one.

But go ahead Browns, draft a friekin guard with number 4. That'll sell out the dog pound.
Pettine...Farmer== clueless dolts.
As an aside, John Gruden talked about Manziel with rave reviews. But just like Don Shula, wtf does he know?
Edit... Gruden made the statement that no quarterback ever has dominated the SEC better than J Football did. As in...EVER.
But I guess the guy will need a year or 2 of "seasoning". ROTFLMAO -

Browns won't take a guard #4. For fucks sake, if your gonna go full QQ at least make sense. Bitch at them for taking Sammy Watkins at 4, as that's much more plausible then them taking a guard.Footwedge;1611678 wrote:The guy who won last year's super bowl started from day 1. Gruden has liked every single QB that has ever came to his camp, probably not a valid example.
And to your point of Russell Wilson, that's exactly what I said? Did you fail to read? He wasn't named the starter coming in. Hell Flynn started most of the preseason games, but was throughly beat out. If that happens in Cleveland if any of our QB's come out and completely dominate their competition during the preseason they will get the nod. -

Derek Carr is the most ready out of all of them.
That Manziel would probably need to sit a year to learn and develop.
You rave that Gruden wants Manziel, then laugh at the guys that think Manziel needs 'seasoning', which Gruden agrees with. So does Gruden, like Shula, know what he's talking about or not FW? ROTFLMAO -

"I don't have any concerns. I'm a Manziel - I don't know what the word I should use is - advocate, proponent. I want Manziel. I realize he's under six feet tall. Maybe he can't see over the line. We blew that theory in the water last year with (Russell) Wilson and (Drew) Brees. I know he can learn. I spent two days with him, and I know he wants to learn. He had four different offensive coordinators at Texas A&M. He had two different head coaches. It didn't matter. He adapted and did extremely well. This is the first Heisman Trophy winner as a freshman. In two years at Texas A&M, he had the most productive back-to-back seasons in SEC history. I don't know what you want him to do. He threw for eight thousand, ran for two thousand, he has 93 touchdowns. All I know is I want Manziel."

Yes, he also said it could take him up to a year to develop. Maybe if was the understudy to Aaron Rogers perhaps. -

Wrong. Gruden has all but said that Bridgewater should be off the table.HighRoller74;1611693 wrote: Gruden has liked every single QB that has ever came to his camp, probably not a valid example.

Where the hell is there a spin? You are so clueless it's hysterical. You read the article. What I said is exactly what Gruden said. You even admitted that with your last damn statement.Footwedge;1611733 wrote:Spin much? Do you peddle used cars for a living? Here is verbatim what Gruden said...

I can pretty much guarantee you that Manziel will be playing in week one...no matter who drafts him. And yes, he will be much better in year 2 than he will be in year one. Not too many quarterbacks regress in this league.GoChiefs;1611737 wrote:Where the hell is there a spin? You are so clueless it's hysterical. You read the article. Young was a pro bowler (2x) and rookie of the year. So no, weeden will never be that good in any point in his career. As for this thigpen he probably won't even make the te, and he if does he will be on the bottom of the depth chart, just like weeden should have been.rydawg5;1611796 wrote:I think Weeden is better than Young or Thigpen -

Yeah, not sure what the point of his post was. To prove weeden should still be on the roster? LOL.SportsAndLady;1611799 wrote:Lol @ anyone being better than weeden. -

I guess the "point" was we got rid of a guy who would have been a better qb than 2 guys we just signed for backup qbs?like_that;1611800 wrote:Yeah, not sure what the point of his post was. To prove weeden should still be on the roster? LOL. -

Derek Anderson was a pro bowler, so should we sign him too?
