"LeBron would've averaged 40 ppg at OSU"

For some reason this made me think of skyhook and him swearing Wilt had a 50 inch vertical

Tell me more about the thoughts of Lebron James. You may be able to make some money being his psychologist since you seem to know what hes thinking more than he does lol.

He's all about legacy and trying to define that. This was more than likely his plan all along, he knew he wasn't coming back to an empty cupboard.
Nobody claimed he was coming back to an empty cupboard?

Anyway, Im over it. back to CFB and the NFL, Ill care about the NBA when the players start to...In April/May

Nobody is fucking averaging a point a minute in the college game today. Anyone who actually thinks that should be thread banned.

Well, at any school that means anything. There is that one place (Grinnell?) where the one dude put up 100-point games, but I think everyone with the exception of CC pretty much knew that would translate to roughly 1.4 PPG at a real school.

I disregard the part where youa nd BR claim to know what Lebron is thinking.

He knows its a process, and isnt hell bent on winning right this instant because he knows its not that easy, like he said. . He wants to obviously, every player wants to but hes been there before with the big 3 and knows it takes time.

And to the point of "Why did he actively recruit Kevin Love?"(from BR) well im pretty positive any superstar would want to get a big name FA like Love, Anthony, Lebron ect on their team if they could, doesnt really prove much.
  • Rotinaj
Sure, he thought it was going to be a process. With that being said, if you don't think he is hell bent on winning now and every single year he plays in the NBA you're crazy.
  • KB0938
Perhaps I should of said is realistic in knowing that its going to take a little while, not that he isnt hellbent on winning right away.

You have to be completely foolish to think he doesn't want to win a title this year, he will be 30 by seasons end and only has so many prime years left. This is the guy who has played in 4 straight finals and you think he's going to be okay going to the second round? No way. He knows it's going to be difficult because he understands what a long and hard journey it is and what an accomplishment it is to win one. He is also trying to temper expectations for the fans a bit and telling them to be patient and just because he is going home doesn't mean an automatic championship. This team is built to win titles right now the way it's constructed, and Lebron made sure of that.

Hey guys, how old will Lebron be by seasons end? I haven't heard it enough
  • sportswizuhrd
IMO, LeBron said he didn't promise a title because he didn't want that burden on his shoulders. If they were not in a win now mode, Jones, Miller and possibly Allen would not be coming to Cleveland.

S&L....not saying Wiggins will be a multiple All-Star or not, because I do not know yet, but who in your eyes is the best 3-5 players that Self has coached(in the same system that Wiggins was in) in college, in terms of their NBA career? Deron Williams then who?

Woj confirms it. As I said ;)

Anyways back to the topic, I'm excited. We still have 2 1sts to add players as we go, and we now have a big 3 that is incredible.
Still waiting to see Parker in a Cavs uniform. Thats who LeBron wanted them to draft, right? ;)

Just to clarify you are looking for the top 3-5 "prospects" that self has coached in college? Or the best NBA careers of players self coaches in college?

If Lebron would have gotten some other top recruits OSU certainly takes a title but that 03-04 team was terrible. If he was able to get Kendrick Perkins or Chris Paul or Trevor Ariza though that team is a force
  • Mulva
Yeah, I really don't know if even Lebron carries that team to a title. The starting backcourt was Tony Stockman and fucking BFC.

I never said we would draft parker. All I said was Lebron preferred him, which is true.

Stockman could ball, didn't have a great career at Osu but he was a baller.

I think you are actually going to end up proving his point. When guys like Josh Selby, Brandon Rush, Xavier Henry etc don't dominate at Kansas you know it's because of the system and not because all of these guys flop. Self is arguably the best coach in America and wins year in year out despite these guys "failing" based on speculation. Wiggins was so much better than people realize last year it's comical.

That said, not sure how anyone can "hate" the trade. I do however think they will regret it in 3 years. And LeBron will be dominant past 35 IMO.

    Spot on.

I didnt really take wizuhrds post as trying to prove a point though unless that just went way over my head.

If he means best in the nba, it's gotta be, I guess:

    Morrii
    Chalmers
    Henry
    Aldrich

I don't understand the argument you're trying to make. How do you "know it's because of the system"? The guys you listed all went on to do absolutely nothing in the NBA. Same with Julian Wright, Cole Aldrich, Thomas Robinson, and the Morrises. It's not like they left "the system" and suddenly started putting up huge individual stats.

If anything, the argument should be that the system made all of them appear better than they were.
