GOONx19Kipnis gives us a 2-0 lead. This game is going quick.

That might be why I was surprised to know he was in them, because I hadn't heard or seen his name in some time. One of those guys who came into the majors with a lot of potential, but never realized it due to injury problems.Laley23;1603133 wrote:Was not in the Big Leagues last year. Just, fyi -
lhslep134Attaboy Kipnis!
I'm watching on FS San Diego since I get it on my cable feed in Tucson and their announcers are pretty funny. One was bitching about the cold and then they circled a kid in a michigan hat and asked what he's doing deep in Buckeye territory. Pretty funny tandem. -
Laley23Indians feed is on MLB Network right now, in case you wanted to watch the home feed.
But, Id probably stay away from Underwood lol -

Why does everyone hate Underwood? I realize he's no Hamilton, but IMO there are much much worse than him. -

Not for me. The regional MLB Network coverage for me is A's/Twins. I could watch on MLB.TV but eh I don't mind the Padres' guys.Laley23;1603161 wrote:Indians feed is on MLB Network right now, in case you wanted to watch the home feed. -

Lol. Didnt realize it was regional. Im in NC, surprised they didnt go Reds...lhslep134;1603163 wrote:Not for me. The regional MLB Network coverage for me is A's/Twins. I could watch on MLB.TV but eh I don't mind the Padres' guys. -

He is awful. By far the worst, imo. Ive heard a lot also. He is so bad Rick Manning constantly makes fun of him and points out his dumbass comments. Not to mention the Baseball Tonight guys who have completely mocked his "Souvenir City" HR call for the last 6 years. So bad that Underwood now says, "Hes out of room, its out of here" before adding the souvenir city. It has made the bad call even worse lol.ohiobucks1;1603162 wrote:Why does everyone hate Underwood? I just hate the fact that the dude simply doesnt know the game that well. -
Con_AlmaHmmmm... I didn't know it was regional either. Makes sense I guess. Learned something new today.

Yeah....could impact a game. Could have impacted this one but I think the end result was right.Laley23;1603129 wrote:Thanks. Because if you are no longer forced as a runner when you are tagged, then the run wouldve counted.
Now, he was out cause the guy hit the base with his foot and I am pretty sure that you are still forced even on a tag. But it would be nice to know for the future. -

I guess I just dont listen close enough. Never seemed to bother me, and I really enjoy manning (and hamilton much more so than anyone, obviously).
None of them touch Neil Sika, though. -
Laley23Manning is above average, imo. One of the better color guys in baseball. Underwood is just so bad, it overshadows him lol

One of the (many) things that drives me nuts about Underwood is he raises his voice every time the ball is hit to the outfield as if it's a home run...it's annoying as hell.Laley23;1603179 wrote:Manning is above average, imo. HitsRusPestano did punch his ticket back to the minors with his 'performance' last nite...already on his way.

Laley23How is that not a catch? Jesus. Even after replay.
-
Laley23Really nice inning by Bauer. And MLB is gonna have to revise that rule. The transfer thing is fine, but not when it's in the glove for 3 seconds prior.

How'd SD score their run?Laley23;1603223 wrote:Really nice inning by Bauer. And MLB is gonna have to revise that rule. The transfer thing is fine, but not when it's in the glove for 3 seconds prior. -

Error by Asdrubal to put the guy on (advanced to second as ball hit the dugout). Then a "double" to right field where the catch was made as Murphy (I think he is in RF) hit the wall. He secured it before the wall, then throughout the hit of the wall. Took a full step forward and lost the ball in the transfer. They rule it a double, after replay. 2nd and 3rd.vball10set;1603224 wrote:How'd SD score their run?
Then, a groundout to 2nd scores a run, K and then groundout to 1st ends the inning. -
bases_loadedOn the Murphy play. I don't understand why the umpire signaled safe if he saw Murphy miss the bag. Or is that proper umpire protocol?
-
Laley23
Ive seen them signal safe on plays like that, usually at home, when the tag or whatever isnt made. Then if the catcher goes back and tags him, they call them out. I didnt think it was nearly as unusual as Manning made it sound, though, to be fair, its not usually done at 1st base.bases_loaded;1603252 wrote:On the Murphy play. lol, I just noticed that on the final play of this game. He got all excited about Cabrera taking one to the outfield...for an easy liner that seemed to go straight to the outfielder's glove.vball10set;1603184 wrote:One of the (many) things that drives me nuts about Underwood is he raises his voice every time the ball is hit to the outfield as if it's a home run...it's annoying as hell. -
Laley23Positive note from the late game, Bauer looked, comparatively speaking, awesome!
