Pittsburgh Steelers Offseason Thread

Ironman92The drafts I've glanced at have either Darqueze Dennard CB Mich St or Cyrus Kouandjio OT Alabama.
My personal feeling is get the most physical DB available in Rd 1 because some of these drafts have 5 CB's going in round 1 and I'm not sure the 7th best CB in the draft will make it on the field quick enough...so if Dennard is still there....perfect!
I'd use the 2nd pick for the best OL left UNLESS there is a big studly receiver still around....but unlikely I'd guess.
Rd 3-7.....at least 1 more lineman (rd 5-7), take a shot in round 5-7 on a big/raw receiver, best available LB in Rd 3 or 4, best available safety in Rd 3 or 4.......Rd 7 takes fastest guy on the board or a gamer QB with no chance at greatness but somehow always found a way to get it done. -
thavoiceDB, OL, WR, LB is my thoughts in that order.
-
GoPensThis draft has to be about getting the defense younger. Only need on offense is a lineman (because as we've seen, this team can never have enough linemen) and a receiver. Other than that, defense, defense, defense starting with DB.
-
GoPensIt is interesting (and assine) that the NFL says they still may take a draft pick for the Tomlin incident. If I'm the Rooney's I'm calling Goodell and telling him that the referees fuckups in the Chargers-Chiefs game is punishment enough.

Yeah, make the decision or stfu. I don't get it.GoPens;1560871 wrote:It is interesting (and assine) that the NFL says they still may take a draft pick for the Tomlin incident. thavoice"According to La Canfora, the NFL will not hand down its final verdict in this case until all draft picks are set. That falls somewhat in line with earlier reports that the league would wait to see a) which compensatory draft slots the Steelers may wind up with; and b) if the four points that Tomlin’s act eventually cost Baltimore somehow came into play as a postseason tiebreaker."

How could it cost them a tie breaker for the playoffs? Lolthavoice;1560885 wrote:"According to La Canfora, the NFL will not hand down its final verdict in this case until all draft picks are set. They lost 4 points in an AFC North game that they won....beating the team they tied with in that division....but still losing the tie breaker due to Pittsburgh 4-2 and Baltimore 3-3.
Just take one of their picks. -
thavoiceJust posting what a website had from early december. I know on M and M they had a statement a couple of weeks ago from someone as to why they were still waiting to decide and it had to do with stuff like this.Ironman92;1560896 wrote:How could it cost them a tie breaker for the playoffs? Lol

Ironman92And I'm just saying the tie-breaking playoff stuff is 100% moo.
Nothing intended at you. -

They are always without at least 2 starters....they did improve but his insistence on playing Mike Adams is enough for me. -
Ironman92Hired Mike Munchak as offensive line coach.
Good. -
AutomatikI'll take it. Now get some worthwhile O linemen.
-
thavoiceMaybe they will finaly solidify that OL. Been prettty weak for quite awhile.

Not really. Tomlin wasn't even suspended for blatantly cheating. They deserve a draft pick to be taken away easily.GoPens;1560871 wrote:It is interesting (and assine) that the NFL says they still may take a draft pick for the Tomlin incident. I agree he shouldn't be waiting this long though. Also cry me a river about the missed call that no refs ever call. Steelers deserve for that to happen to them after that dirty hit on the bengals punter. /steelerslogic -

Way too fucking long. It also doesn't help that whoever they plug in there seems to be made of glass.thavoice;1571313 wrote:Maybe they will finaly solidify that OL. Been prettty weak for quite awhile.
I assume they will address it at the draft. Let's hope Mike Adams gets buried on the depth chart. -

You mean the loser thread that is 46 pages longer than this one? lolfail. I am just trying to give this thread some posts, since you guys don't support your team unless they are above .500LJ;1571333 wrote:Go stick to your loser thread about your loser team. -

4-10 browns team game thread goes 7 pages. Same week Steelers elimination thread? 4 pages. LOLlike_that;1571379 wrote:You mean the loser thread that is 46 pages longer than this one? lolfail. I know a lot of steelers fans, and if they aren't above .500 they are focusing their attention on the penguins... and if the penguins aren't above .500 they aren't qqing when they are about to move the team. -
AutomatikSteelers posters are scarce around here these days, but don't fret, I'm always focused!
-
Ironman92I don't typically pay any attention unless there is a coaching change or the draft. Tomlin ain't leaving and the draft isn't close. We need offensive lineman, a big athletic receiver and a couple defensive players.
Not much to say. I only talk to myself during games.
I'm glad the Browns have the best fans. -
Gblockbrowns thread has 2 pages about football and 44 pages of dumb arguments and namecalling. sorry we cant change coaches every year for something good to discuss..steelers fans post when there is something to talk about...like maybe we take the nosegaurd for ND with our first pick.

We haven't had to have 40 pages of arguing over which mediocre coaching candidate that will be fired within 2-3 years will be the guy to finally not turn our team down.like_that;1571379 wrote:You mean the loser thread that is 46 pages longer than this one? lolfail. I could be mistaken, but wasn't it mentioned that he regressed this year? Got fat?
