I have it on DVR to watch again. Unfortunately, I don't anticipate the replay on the offside will be a better look than they gave last night. I thought EJ was onside during the run of play. But, the thing we cannot see from the replay (nor do I believe the AR could've really seen it) was if EJ's head and chest were in an offside position when the ball was played. All parts of the body are capable of being in an offside position except hands/arms. I would venture to say that EJ was still onside...but, there is a chance he was leaning too much.

As for the foul on Green, definite foul. No penalty that Twellman was ranting and raving about -- until he was proved wrong. But, there's no reason why there's no whistle there. Either a) there's a foul; or b) there's a yellow on Green for simulation (which that isn't the case). There can't be nothing called there.

@BeauBishop: Wow Real Madrid and ManU at Michigan Stadium in August. Thats incredible.
  • Automatik
They announced that a while ago. I'm interested to see how many they can get to attend.

I'm looking at heading to Real Madrid/AS Roma in Dallas after the WC this summer.

Already got tickets for the United/Roma game in Denver. Flight and hotel booked.

I'm pretty sure they'll sell out the big house for the United/Real Madrid game.

Finally a team in that stadium will play futbol worth watching.

Shocking news from US Soccer...they have fired USWNT head coach Tom Sermanni. Just one year and 3 months into the term.

    Amazing comeback by Chelsea today.

C'mon Red Devils! Get something positive from this season...

I wonder if Ibra had played if the game wouldve been different? either way, great game.

Shocked Real held on yesterday as well. Dortmund had SO many chances in the 2nd half to go up 3-0 (3-3) and send it to extra time.

Today will see Barca and Atletico once again. Atletico is probably the surprise of Europe, leading La Liga this late over Barca and Real. Just an amazing season by them. They have held Barca 4 of the 5 times this year they have played, including leg one, 1-1. Today should be a great game.

Also hoping that ManU can pull it out. Dont want to see Bayern advance as long as Barca are still in lol

At the Allianz, I'll be surprised to see anything other than a Bayern whipping that ass.

Probably. But sometimes when a team clinches the league really early like Bayern, they lose that edge and slip down a notch.

Pep has been in this position with Barca though, and it didnt happen, so it probably wont here either. Although, when Barca clinched, it was never THIS early, because Real was always just a few games behind, iirc.

United played alright. I was ecstatic when they scored the first goal. It's too bad Rooney wasn't even close to 100% as he whiffed on a for sure goal. Looks like he might be done for the rest of the season.
  • Laley23
Atleti knock out Barca, and might just win this whole damn thing (Bayern has to be the favorite though).

They will play Barca again on the final day of the regular season. Barca will have to do what they have done in 5 meetings yet this year...get more than a draw. Unreal someone other than Real or Barca are in the drivers seat for La Liga.

I hope Chelsea draws Atletico. Badly.

Ive watched them about 20 times this year. Carefuly what you wish for.

Of course, its the better option of Bayern. But Id much rather play Real Madrid if I were Chelsea.

Disagree. Ronaldo and Bale pose waaaaaay more of a problem for Chelsea than Costa does.
  • Laley23
They didnt even play Diego Costa in the return leg. He is having a tremendous campaign, is not what makes this team go.

There are the best team in Spain, imo. The defense coupled with Costa and Villa up top has been great.

I mean, dont get me wrong, individual skill Real has a few guys who can win a game by themselves, something that Atlietic cant really say. But Atletico has a defense to go along with a good offense (Real and Barca do not). They have now held Messi scoreless in 5 games this year. That just doesnt happen.

If they avoid Bayern, I think they might make the finals.

Already getting pumped for Sundays showdown vs ManCity!

You can be damn sure I'll be up at 5:30 local time to watch, it's the biggest EPL game for the Reds in years in terms of trying to win the crown.

    GREAT WIN TODAY!!

And Gerrard's postgame interview was even better
  • Laley23
I hate for Suarez to get a title, but that is completely overriden by the fact that Gerard is the most overdue player in the history of the EPL to get one. Hope they finish it off. Always loved Captain Fantastic.

I think he will have won every single title possible in domestic football, right?

    -UEFA CL
    -UEFA Cup
    -UEFA Super Cup
    -FA
    -League Cup
    -Community Shield

...now the EPL. Am I missing one?

EDIT: Just remembered the Club World Cup...any others?
  • lhslep134
Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the only title he's missing.
