se-alumI'm must glad the Browns are finally acting like a franchise that wouldn't mind winning some games!

Lol not at all. Watkins is a difference maker at the position the same way julio was/is. If zwick personally feels none of the QBs are worth it this year then his logic is sound. Jags vikings browns all reached on QBs and look where all 3 of us are. Don't get defensive now, it's just the other side of your argument. I'm not calling you out.like_that;1589550 wrote:Luck is far more valuable than wright, Floyd, sweed, Jenkins, Crabtree....

Seymour has been as good with Oakland as he was with New England, same with Branch and Seattle. Vrabel was 34yrs old when he left New England. I'd take a 27 year old Edelman in a heartbeat for the right money.HighRoller74;1589534 wrote:Not to mention that. Outside of Welker, who was able to latch on with another amazing QB.
Look at Richard Seymour, Deion Branch, Vrabel, etc.
He knows when to let people walk. -
Commander of AwesomeDurkie I'd rather have Jones than Weeden/Trich, but I'd much rather have Aldon Smith/JJ Watt/Robert Quinn/Muhammad Wilkerson than Jones.

ZWICK 4 PREZ
That's my whole point. I'd agree with like_that if there was a qb that was worth the pick. I just don't feel there's anyone at 4 who's so much better than what you'd get at 26 this year. That's the only reason I'd take Watkins.DeyDurkie5;1589554 wrote:Lol not at all. Watkins is a difference maker at the position the same way julio was/is. if the browns take a qb at 4 I won't be mad bc they need a qb and know a lot more than I do. I just wouldn't be surprised to see them take Watkins if he's there. -

I'm not placing tbw/manziel/bortles at the same level as the guys you listed though. -

I'm just simply not a fan of taking a WR that high since we already 2 great options to throw to. I'd rather get a defensive player or trade down if Watkins was the only option.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1589558 wrote:That's my whole point. I'd agree with like_that if there was a qb that was worth the pick. This times a 1000000. ESP since this yrs crop of wrs is the deepest ever. Can legit get first round value late 2 early 3rd. Give me TBW/Bortles/Barr/Mack and a guard then a guy like Beckman in the 2nd.like_that;1589563 wrote:I'm just simply not a fan of taking a WR that high since we already 2 great options to throw to. ZWICK 4 PREZFwiw I would take Bridgewater at 4 and mack/Mosley/shazier at 26 and beckham if he's still there in the 2nd off Watkins is gone

Final Year with NE: 76 catches, 1000 yards 5 TDs
Best year with Seattle : 53 Catches 725 4 TDs (came in year immediately following trade, went downhill fast.)
You and I agree on this though, if the money is right I'd take him, but more than likely money is gonna be high. -

Mack isn't making it out of the top 10, maybe not the top 5.ZWICK 4 PREZ;1589568 wrote:Fwiw I would take Bridgewater at 4 and mack/Mosley/shazier at 26 and beckham if he's still there in the 2nd off Watkins is gone -

If TBW/Bortles is gone I'd want to take Mack. Dude's a stud.se-alum;1589570 wrote:Mack isn't making it out of the top 10, maybe not the top 5. -

actually the guy who is going with it is a legit source - but the trade isn't going to happen (mostly speculative inquiry on our end)like_that;1589560 wrote:Was it incarcerated bob lol? -

Yeah probably not. He's certainly the best at the position.se-alum;1589570 wrote:Mack isn't making it out of the top 10, maybe not the top 5. -

In Seattle he averaged 44 catches, 554 yards and 4tds.
Outside of the one anomaly season, he averaged basically his Seattle numbers every year. -

Yep, I've said from the very beginning that Bortles and Mack are my favorite two in the draft. I can see Mack as a Pro Bowler his rookie season.Commander of Awesome;1589571 wrote:If TBW/Bortles is gone I'd want to take Mack. Dude's a stud. -

Right, same could be said with Edleman though right, thus making the point, that BB is smart enough to let a guy walk when he knows he's either going down hill, or was a one year wonder.se-alum;1589574 wrote:In New England he averaged 53 catches, 686 yards and 4tds.

This was Edelman's first year to be the main slot guy with Welker gone. You think Edelman would go from 105 catches back down to 30-35 if he stayed in New England? If he leaves, it's because of money, not because Belichick foresees an 70 catch drop off.HighRoller74;1589578 wrote:Right, same could be said with Edleman though right, thus making the point, that BB is smart enough to let a guy walk when he knows he's either going down hill, or was a one year wonder.

Right, I believe that Belichick feels if he resigns him at the coin he's wanting will be a bad investment, as it pretty much proves any one he puts in to that role, in that offense will put those numbers up. If you could get him for a deal similar to what Andrew Hawkins signed would be wise, anything more than that, unless you have a top 5 QB you won't see a return on your investment.se-alum;1589580 wrote:This was Edelman's first year to be the main slot guy with Welker gone. DeyDurkie5Hawkins was a sneaky good attempt. No thanks on edelman. Mack Watkins sounds solid at 4. Manziel if he is there.
