lol is it even a shocker the only time TS shows up is when the topic of moderation is brought up? The butt hurt is strong with that one.

Nah, you guys whining like bitches (typically about the moderation) is about the last remaining interesting/amusing thing on this site, so of course I'll chime in

Plus it's always fun to see how you'll deflect it and turn it into some complete line of bullshit about something completely off topic

Wow, has this thread turned into an Iggy/FW clusterfuck/lovefest......

Annnnd the butt hurt goes on...

Anyway, as I said in my previous post can anyone give me a breakdown on why the D sucked so badly Saturday night?

The d-line (outside of Armonty) gets no push and the backup corners suck right now.

Gilbert had a rough outing, Leon McFadden got beat several times, 3rd down efense was pathetic. We gave up several 3rd and long (15+). Not kidding.

So basically new season, same story with the defense.

Pretty much. Will also say refs kept a lot if drives going on both sides. Hope this trend doesn't continue.

Can't wait to see his Browns or Ravens ones, those were rather funny.

He's been pretty good all fall -- I've read all of them so far this year instead of just winding up hearing about them after the fact and only catching 2-3 I was interested in.

He's not even going to make the final roster. The guy is a bum, and we will look at the 2013 draft as one of the worst in the history of the organization. Considering our history that is saying an awful lot.

Gordon (officially part of that draft) is a stud.
Mingo shows flashes and is only in his second year.
Bryant has looked good in the preseason.
    McFadden is serviceable.

2 starters (1 of which is a stud) and 2 guys that are on the depth chart...how does that make that draft the worst in history?

Oh wait, we are talking IQQY logic, nevermind, continue on...

I see you have bought into the hype on Mingo. He's a scrub.

He fits Pettine's definition of a bitch kitty perfectly, as he has the bitch part down pat.

The Gordon thing is a technicality that is the only hope that draft has.

McFadden is likely not to even make the final roster, and if you consider him serviceable I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.

That draft was all about the talent evaluation skills of Joe Banner, the single worst thing to ever happen to this organization. We are still dealing with the fallout of his tenure.

Gordon is not a technicality since it was that years 2nd round pick.
McFadden may not be on the team, but I don't see how he's any worse than Skrine.
Mingo had 5 sacks as a rookie in a backup role, if he repeats those numbers this year then you'd be right, he's a scrub.

It was made by Tom Heckert and not the new regime, and not the Farmer/Lombardi/Banner braintrust.

I only want to ascribe the failure of 2013 to its' proper recipients.

Steve Doerschuk ‏ @ sdoerschukREP 41m Pettine said RT Mitchell Schwartz's rough game was at Detroit ... "He bounced back against St. Louis."

    Scott Petrak ct ‏ @ ScottPetrak 22m
    # Browns Pettine is comfortable with RT Mitchell Schwartz. "Not a guy we're looking to replace. Solid RT"

    Nate Ulrich ‏ @ NateUlrichABJ 3m

    # Browns HC Mike Pettine on Schwartz: "You look at RTs around the league, he's a guy that I think a lot of people would agree is solid."
I have long known that Pettine is completely detached from reality and wildly in over his head, but even his water carriers are going to be hard pressed to defend these comments.

Defending Mitchell Schwartz as "solid" is the same type of delusion that has him thinking Brian Hoyer has any business starting NFL games.

This guy must have fell down and hit his head somewhere as he is clearly not watching the same football team that Browns fans are.

If I could only bottle some of the snake oil he sold Jimmy during the interview process I could be a freaking millionaire right now. It is just stunning what a nightmare this guy is. He might go on to rival Chris Palmer as the single biggest coaching disaster since the return.

If we were dead set on hiring a Pettine no matter how unqualified we should have at least hired his daddy, who apparently is the only one carrying the family name that has any talent.

What do you want him to say. Schwartz sucks but we don't have anyone better. I'm sure that would make him work harder.

Lying and insulting the fans intelligence by saying things like Schwartz is a "solid" right tackle when he is clearly a first rate bum is hardly going to endear yourself to a fan base that is already skeptical of your ability to coach.

lol, I just get entertained by how much of an over-the-top Eeyore he is. About everything. Any topic, something completely sucks and he is there to be the doom-speaker, letting us know how the worst-case scenario is about to happen and can't be prevented.

Well, with a slight script-flipping for Ohio State football. There, they're completely okay...because they play nobody whatsoever (B1G sucks, non-conference schedule sucks) and therefore, losing Miller won't matter because anyone could beat everyone on their schedule. I appreciate the attempts at diversity in his overwhelming negativity.

Anyone agree with Risdon's 3-13 prediction?
Go ahead, name one viable NFL wide receiver on the roster other than Josh Gordon. When the first name that comes to your lips is Andrew Hawkins, you know there’s a problem.
Good thing our GM was smarter than the rest of the league and really showed them by not prioritizing receiver when he knew Gordon was going to be out.

That is surely what winning winning organizations do. He chose not to draft any viable NFL receivers to try and prove a point that much of the fan base is still trying to figure out.

Browns are never going to get a favor ale prediction until they prove everyone wrong. Just how it works. I don't see them worst than the last few years that's for sure. Didn't Risdon predict 2 wins last year?
