What do you want him to do? He's never going to get a shot in Baltimore they have too much money invested in Flacco. Therefore he wants to go somewhere where he can compete for a starting job. He's not content with being a backup, God forbid he's a competitor...

5th round picks usually don't bitch about being backups when they had an opportunity to win a job and lost.

He's not an NFL starter folks.

The wonderful thing about Ohio football fans is we have this discussion. No other fan base in America is discussing Troy Smith as an NFL starter.
They have been on the Oakland Raiders boards.

    He didn't lose his job.

Smith was the starter until he got sick, lost 20 pounds and was out for the end of the preseason, and first few weeks of the season. Flacco was thrust into the starting role and played great, thus he kept the starting spot.

If Troy Smith played at Michigan State you guys would think he's a fifth rounder who should be smart enough to know to keep a job when one has their job.

He should sit still, collect his check and leave when free agency hits.

He hasn't proven himself at all in the league. He was only listed as Baltimore's starter when he was because they wanted him as a caretaker for Flacco until their actual QB was ready.

Brady Quinn took more snaps in three weeks than this generation's Gino Torretta has taken in his career.

Maybe you had better worry about your HS team honoring contracts.

I agree, Eric Crouch was pretty bad.
