The betting thread - who ya got?

  I took Eagles -3. So do the opposite of that. I'm on a very black losing streak. Down $100 today alone.
  
  I was this-close to betting Notre Dame today but I just couldn't bet against my team, and never will. That was the easiest call of the day. Duke always lets you down in road games against middling teams like Notre Dame. Happens every year.

  I took the Saints +3.... already won on the Chiefs +2.5. Rec I hated doing it but I did take ND +6 just couldn't pass it up. FSU screwed me tho had them at -4. Overall for the day I'm up around 100. Also already got a nice start on my 7 point teaser with all the NFL games this weekend. Chiefs +5.5, over 40, Saints +10 over 47.5, 49ers +4 under 52.5, Chargers +14 over 39. 25 to win 250. Also have 100 on a 10 point teaser chiefs +8.5, Saints +13, and Chargers +17

  Doing this as long as I have, I'm used to the swings. You guys should have no problem with the Saints tonight. One of those days (the reverse fumble call of just a moment ago, which rarely happens on reviews, only proves that point). Not my week.
  
  As for Duke, yeah, your best was smart. Next time, if the situation is right, I probably won't pass up the money. That's Duke's MO in such games.

  Bounced back today with $20 on San Diego ML. Needed that one. Still down from yesterday, but the losing streak has been snapped. It was like five or six bets. Unbelievable.
  
  I like Green Bay today in Lambeau. Will probably do that.

  So glad that Green Bay didn't get a hand on that last field goal because I would've lost in OT without a doubt. Pushed with GB +3, so I guess it could be worse. Hate pushes though.
  
  Tonight's slate of games sucked so looks like I'll be waiting for tomorrow.

  I figured this would be a perfect place to put this. What would you guys be doing if you were him? If it was me I would have went straight out to the Casino where the ticket came from and borrowed 25K to hedge on FSU at -265.

  Well right now it's terrible to hedge since the ML has rose from -265 from when it first came out to anywhere from -370 to -400. But yeah I guess just put 10K on it and you'd get a couple thousand. I guess it would be pretty hard to throw down 25K especially if I was an Auburn fan. But I really don't think Auburn has any chance to win lol.

  Florida State on track to get humiliated. They just look scared. Getting hooked like a fish on the Seminole hype is probably gonna cost me. Have a two-game teaser (won the first part with Pitt -3 against Maryland, now need the Seminoles to cover 2 points).
  
  Hoping things turn around, but Auburn is clearly the more seasoned and battle-tested team. Makes a huge difference.

  Hitting ML on the favorite and spread on the underdog is the ultimate win. There's nothing more satisfying. Although it is a bet I rarely make.

  Only do it when its double digit spreads. Otherwise, if I take the dog to cover, I usually take them to win.

  Yeah, that's great strategy on large spreads in games such as the MNC. The Notre Dame-Alabama game of a year ago was an obvious exception, but there was no way that Auburn, coming from the SEC, was getting beat by double digits.
