Cleveland Cavaliers Season Thread: Kyrie for MVP!

Midstate01Well Andy is always hurt and zeller has played well against these bad teams, but will it last?
-
Lovejoy1984Good point, but I just don't get the reasoning behind sacrificing minutes for the young guys, all in a quest to get swept in the 1st round.

Because Dan Gilbert said they won't be in the lottery again.HighRoller74;1582946 wrote:Good point, but I just don't get the reasoning behind sacrificing minutes for the young guys, all in a quest to get swept in the 1st round. -

Guess that's all that needs to be said, but I just can't believe he's risking a potential/probable top 7 pick in the deepest draft in many years simply for a playoff appearance.wildcats20;1582947 wrote:Because Dan Gilbert said they won't be in the lottery again. -
wildcats20I don't disagree. But I still don't think they make the playoffs.

Good point, I don't necessarily think they will either, just would've preferred them to Move Andy and go full on with giving the Young guys all the reps.wildcats20;1582953 wrote:I don't disagree. But I still don't think they make the playoffs. -
Pick6Whatever Sam Amico says, always count on the opposite happening.
Anyways, love the trade. Its not some blockbuster move, but I believe it is a move in the right direction. Clark is garbage (thought that from the beginning), 2nd round picks are garbage. We now have a little more depth at center. Andy has had his annual season ending injury (not official yet, but come on). Hawes is serviceable. Better than Zeller IMO and definitely better than Sims. -
wildcats20Philly waived Clark this morning.

Dr. KnOiTaLLWould've liked the Cavs to deal Deng for Ariza... especially if Deng isn't happy here. However, things have been hot lately, so maybe it's best not to shake things up too much. It's a long shot that they make the playoffs, but I like that they are being aggressive in their attempt to do so.

Wanted no part of Ariza, nor his contract.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1583120 wrote:Would've liked the Cavs to deal Deng for Ariza... especially if Deng isn't happy here. Pick6
This. Far as I'm concerned any credit Ariza has comes from the one decent post season/season (whatever it was) he had in LA. Don't recall him doing anything since.HighRoller74;1583256 wrote:Wanted no part of Ariza, nor his contract. -
Commander of Awesome
I thought the same thing, but he is having a pretty solid season stats wise. I don't think I've watched a Wizard's game this yr, so not sure if it translates to wins on the court or garbage time stats.Pick6;1583362 wrote:This. SportsAndLadyHorrible loss today to the struggling Wizards
Can't lose home games to below .500 teams if they're trying to go after that 8th playoff spot. -
Midstate01Jack is a cancer to this team. He pouts when he doesn't get the ball passed to him and just LeBron dribbles at the top of the key when he does have it, then takes terrible shots.
Deng has been awful for the last month too -
Pick6Yeah Deng hasn't been good. At least he isn't detrimental to the team like Jack though. Really getting tired of that guy.
-
gport_tennisTyler Zeller just got trucked by demar derozan, every freaking call has gone the raptors way this 4th quarter. Total BS
-
gport_tennisCavs are getting fucking murdered here. Raptors are body checking every fucking player and no call after no call
-
Lovejoy1984Glad to see Bennett got to play all of 9 minutes today.....smh.
-
bases_loadedHow bad is Karasev to not get minutes when the team can't score.
-
Lovejoy1984Agreed, why isn't he in the DLeague, and at this point if Bennett is only gonna get 9 a game, might as well send him down.
-
Mulva
He went 0/5 with 3 turnovers. Not like he came out blazing and rode the pine anyway.HighRoller74;1584608 wrote:Glad to see Bennett got to play all of 9 minutes today.....smh. -
Lovejoy1984
Isn't going to improve if gets pulled after 9 minutes of action. At this point he needs to be getting 20-25 minutes a game every night, unless he goes Andrew Bynum on us.Mulva;1584618 wrote:He went 0/5 with 3 turnovers. Not like he came out blazing and rode the pine anyway. -
Laley23You can't make statements like that as a fan. Brown and the team are trying for the 8th seed. If you come out and suck that bad, as a bench player, you aren't gonna play. Games are too important right now. If he comes out strong, he would've seen more time.
-
Lovejoy1984
I know, but he's not helping the team playing 9 a game. Send him to the D-League where he can get meaningful minutes, get in to game shape and maybe gain some confidence.Laley23;1584638 wrote:You can't make statements like that as a fan. He proved earlier this month that with consistent minutes he can be a decent player, but taking him back down to barely getting on the court is going to stunt his growth. -
Laley23That might be true. I guess it comes down to brown thinking that he may give them a great game every so often down the stretch.
Personally, I'd have him in the D-League.
