Could very well happen. Looks like it took his firing for our young guys to realize this is a business and people get fired for not delivering. They've been good since he got fired.

Saw Sam Amico tweeted Bennett is averaging 10pts 5 rebs and 63% from 3pt in February. Glad to it's starting to come together for him.

Its hard to gain confidence sitting on the bench and getting DNP CD

Agreed, that was just dumb. Either play him or send him to the D league.

I guess the team thought it would be harder to gain confidence by being demoted to a sub-NBA league. Hard to argue with what we've seen lately.

I also thought at the time that PT in DL > DNP CD, but I can't fault their reasoning for not sending him down.

Has a #1 overall pick been sent to the D-league before?

If not, I can kind of see the reason for not sending him as that would be a dubious first and could really screw with his confidence.

No. Highest pick to be sent down was #2 Thabeet

I still don't think just bc it hasn't happened before, means its a good reason not to have sent him down.

Yeah, not sending him down was more of an arrogance factor on Grant's end. He didn't wanna be the guy to do it.

He needed to be sent down, even if for only a game or 2. Let him get some run down there and get his confidence.

lol, Bynum is such a pos.

    Loved this comment.

"In Bynum's defense, that same strategy netted Josh Smith a $54 million contract from Detroit"

    Kyrie with 21, 5, and 6...at half

But Cavs are down 11 points lol
  • Mulva
Where did you get those Kyrie numbers from?
  • bases_loaded
    Try 8 0 3
  • DeyDurkie5
Dude these refs are killing the game
  • SportsAndLady
Ah shit sorry. He's on my fantasy team and those are his weekly numbers. I thought it was his first game of the week.
  • bases_loaded
    He still has ZERO assists
  • Lovejoy1984
And Bennett has only played 15 minutes today, after 30 in the last game.
  • Lovejoy1984
With only 7 mins to go in the game, Kyrie had 0 assists, now with less than a minuted, hes got 4. Would be nice if he'd show this kind of effort the whole game.
  • gport_tennis
    But that 3 pointer though...
  • Pick6
first 4 game winning streak since the Lebron era. Go back in your hole Tiernan.
  • Lovejoy1984
Happy with the win, but Bennett finished with only 15 minutes again.....sigh
  • bases_loaded
Their bigs determined the big man rotation. Although I think Bennett should get all Clark's minutes
  • Midstate01
I think bases loaded is right. Bennett got destroyed on the defensive end so he didn't get as many minutes and zeller after picking up 2 quick ones played pretty well when he was in there.
