Cleveland Cavaliers Season Thread: Kyrie for MVP!
-
wildcats20Dion had a really nice drive to get the thing lay up. Went right past Afflalo.
-
FootwedgeAccording to ESPN play by play..Cavs were down 7 points with 13 seconds left...and won in OT. Wished I had seen that.

MulvaThe weakest link in the starting lineup of the 2nd worst team in the NBA. That sounds about right.
-
Lovejoy1984Just cut Bynum if it comes down to Richard Jefferson, unless getting a #1 this year.
-
sportswizuhrdSounds like the Bynum for Gasol trade will end up getting done but the Cavs have to give up more to match the contracts and it could be Karasev.
If this trade goes down and it is Bynum/Karasev for Gasol, who would go to the bench, Varejao or Gasol? Everyone ok with giving up on a first round pick 34-35 games into his rookie season?
IMO, this is Grant trying to save his job. -
The AnswerCavs trade Bynum and picks to Bulls for Luol Deng

Commander of AwesomeWhoaaaaa! That's awesome, well played Grant. I'm glad we got him on Gasol. Steal.
-
slingshot4everI assume the Cavs will plan to sign him in the offseason?
-
wes_mantoothMight be enough to sneak them into the playoffs in this awful conference

GOONx19
I sure hope so. Our picks weren't amazing, but they were valuable. I do think they're a sure playoff team in the East now.slingshot4ever;1564066 wrote:I assume the Cavs will plan to sign him in the offseason? -
SportsAndLadyWow we sent a lot of picks to Chicago. Hope they have a plan to sign Deng long term.
-
Con_AlmaLaughing at the Lakers and their negotiating tactics right now.
-
GOONx19For those to lazy to look it up, Bulls get:
Kings first round pick from the JJ Hickson trade (outside top 12 this year, outside top 10 in 2015, 2016, 2017)
Trail Blazers second round picks in 2015 and 2016
Option to swap picks with us in 2015 if we make the playoffs next year
I'm not sure that Kings pick will ever exist, though. Anyone can turn it around in 4 years, but as long as the West stays so competitive I don't know if they'll be good enough. -
lhslep134Doesn't seem like any of those picks are of any true consequence. The Trail Blazers second rounders are much less valuable than the Orlando 2nd rounder we have this year, as Goon pointed out the Kings pick may never exist, and I'm not sure that the Cavs/Bulls will be in a different enough place in 2014-2015 that swapping will hurt too badly.
Well played Grant. -
Classyposter58Good trade out of Cleveland! Now hope that Bynum doesn't go on a tear

The Cavs traded a bag of beans for an all-star player in his prime.Come on Mulva, what did you want them to do? -

Haha I knew I'd be walking into some comments with that one. No time now, but I'll explain in more detail later and then everyone can rip me.Commander of Awesome;1564150 wrote:Right on cue! lol
The early summary, a great trade in terms of value that leads to a bad situation in terms of long term outlook. -

Laley23If they can re-sign Deng, I think its a good move. They also filled a position of major weakness in the Starting Line-up.

Heard differently. I'm hearing Heat and OKC may be interested. That whole "don't feel like playing anymore" thing really translated to "I don't want to play on this crappy team". I could also see him back with Lakers or Clips.Laley23;1564129 wrote:Wait, what?
